We also had the opportunity to visit their nail spa, and we were pleased to learn that they only use eco-friendly products. This, we think, gives customers peace of mind that the products they are using don’t contain any dangerous chemicals.

This business offers a wide selection of distinct nail art designs that vary in style and color. We think this gives customers a wide range of choices instead of just the traditional polishes.

Some of the most popular styles of nail art that they provide include geometric patterns, visual prints, watercolor, and abstract art. 

In addition, they offer full-body waxing and eyelash extensions. The fact that they offer training to become a certified lash technician distinguishes them.

Unfortunately, they have a limited number of beauticians, limiting their capacity to serve multiple customers simultaneously. We only wish they had more personnel so that they could schedule more appointments.

Established in 2020, YŪGEN is a family-run salon that provides manicures, pedicures, and nail and spa treatments.

The name of this nail salon comes from the Japanese noun YGE, which means a deep understanding of the universe that makes you feel things that are too deep and mysterious to put into words.

We thought it was particularly impressive that they prioritized providing detailed nail art. They accomplish this by carefully evaluating their clients’ nails and recommending a variety of suitable styles.

We also liked that they have different packages for manicures and pedicures. This is helpful for customers who want to get both services at the same time.

But that’s not all that we liked about them. Another thing that we liked was their fair rates, which they display on their website. In our opinion, this makes their services accessible to a large customer base.

That said, we’re not big fans because they’re relatively new to the industry. Even so, it’s a nice touch that they have an online booking system where you’re able to select your preferred service, date, and time.

Also, many of the clients we’ve talked to have said how efficient they are because they tell their clients about every step and make sure they’re happy with the service.

All in all, we think YŪGEN is one of the best nail salons in Vancouver as they provide many nail packages to suit your preferences.

Joyride is one of Vancouver’s first and only non-toxic nail salons that was founded in 2015. We liked that they offer a wide variety of beauty services, from facials, to nail care and body waxing.

We think that the fact that their technicians have worked at many spas and salons over the course of their careers shows how skilled they are in the beauty industry.

We also like that they continue to learn and practice the latest beauty techniques, which we believe enables them to accommodate different client preferences.

The fact that they offer beauty bar services for group events, such as girl’s nights, bridal parties, and other group events, is what makes them unique. 

Their packages include manicures, pedicures, and combo parties that cost around CAD 80 to 170 per person. You may also opt for additional services such as wine, charcuterie boards, and fruit platters.

Having said that, we thought it would’ve been beneficial for customers if they had an online booking system to make it easier for consumers to secure appointments.

Despite that, the majority of consumers we’ve spoken to have praised their services, saying they were pleased to have endless options of nail colors. Some also praised their clean facilities.

What we found most impressive about them is they’re able to accommodate last-minute clients. In our opinion, this allows them to cater to a large customer base.

We also appreciate their transparency as they display all their rates on their website. It’s also a nice added touch that they also offer artificial nail services that range from CAD 10 to 61.

But that’s not all that we liked about them. Another thing that we liked was their comprehensive work gallery as they provide high-quality images that highlight their previous work.

In our opinion, this gives interested consumers an idea of the various nail arts they’re able to perform.

We also believe that their credibility is enhanced by the fact that all of their nail technicians are able to provide numerous recommendations if you’re unsure of the nail design you desire.

However, we were a little disappointed to learn that they don’t have an online booking system, as this would have been a convenient way for customers to schedule nail appointments.

What we found most impressive is that they have experienced nail technicians with over 10 years of experience, which we believe establishes their expertise.

We also appreciated that their products are chemical- and odor-free. We believe that the fact that they adhere to government-mandated sanitation standards enhances the allure of their business because it ensures that their products are safe.

Some of the services they offer include manicures and pedicures, hand-crafted nails, and gel polishes. However, the service that stood out the most to us was their ability to add Swarovski crystals to intricately sculpted Japanese 3D designs.

If there’s one drawback that we’ve observed with them, it’s that their website could be improved when it comes to content and accessibility.
