During lunch, one of my coworkers couldn’t stop raving about their newly-renovated kitchen by the Discount Team. I was just listening to their conversations, but as soon as I got home, I realized that my kitchen countertops need a makeover too.
When we finally saw our coworkers’ new kitchen countertops a week later, we immediately noticed the modern touch, matching the overall vibe of their newly renovated kitchen.
I got even more excited about my renovation plans and asked for the Discount Team’s hotline. My colleague asked us to look for Reza to schedule a consultation, so if you want to get the earliest available appointment, you better look for her too.
What we liked about this team is that they didn’t expect us to know everything about countertops. If you’re not familiar with the countertop materials, you’ll love that they will explain each clearly—including all the pros and cons!
We probably asked her fifty questions (not even exaggerating here!) during our visit, but they were patient with us. You just need to prepare to queue a little longer if Reza’s attending to another client, assuming that they’re also as clueless as you are.
Additionally, we noticed that they’re a bit short-staffed, so manage your expectations especially on a weekend.
And true to its name, they really offer great discount deals. So if you’re on a strict budget, you’ll definitely love their selection here.

If you’re starting to notice countertop stains here and there, then maybe it’s time to consider replacing your kitchen countertops. After all, it could be an eyesore every time you prepare your meals.
We started searching online and came across Van Countertops’ social media page. We also thought that it was a familiar name, until we realized that it was the same contractor that took care of our sister’s bathroom countertop.
One thing that we liked most about these guys is that you can really trust them to have a deeper level of understanding in terms of design.
We were ready to choose the basic white quartz, but they insisted on giving us options based on the kitchen photos we submitted. Nonetheless, they still went after the minimal look that we were going for, but definitely better than what we’ve imagined.
However, they may not be the best option for you if you’re in a rush. Fabricating custom orders may even take up to four weeks, so if you’re already working on a tight timeline, we suggest looking for another provider.
And while these guys are very detail-oriented, we noticed that they missed cleaning a few dusty corners behind the kitchen appliances. So be ready to wipe your kitchen again after the installation.

One Saturday morning, my friend and I were walking around 4th Avenue when we saw a sign directing us to All In One Interiors. And since we were trying to clock in more steps during that day, we decided to pop in unannounced.
As soon as we walked in, their showroom welcomed us with every home renovation fixture you could think of. Here, you won’t just see bathroom and kitchen counters, you can also shop for tiles and even cabinets.
It’s actually a one-stop shop with a bonus designer touch, perfect if you’re not too keen about design.
Since our friend was planning to spruce up her bathroom and kitchen, we ended up talking to one of their designers. Good thing, she saved a few images on her phone, making the most out of our initial consultation.
So if you’re planning to visit their showroom, make sure to have those photos handy too.
Meanwhile, if you want to see how the swatches would look in your kitchen, you’ll love that you could take a few sample pieces home. We suggest doing that, so you can see how the countertops would look in the morning, and when the night lights are on.
Just prepare to shell out more if you’re dealing with All In One Interiors as they may not be the most budget-friendly kitchen countertop contractor we’ve seen in the city.

For over 60 years, FloForm Countertops has been a staple name in the renovation game around Vancouver. So if you’re thinking about upgrading your kitchen counters and want someone with a proven track record, then you should check them out.
What we liked most about them is that their website will let you book for a phone consultation, saving you a trip to their showroom. They even sent someone to do a quick ocular, who also brought samples, which allowed us to see on the spot.
The best part is that their consultation is free! So if you’re not ready to commit, you can just inform them upfront without paying them a single buck.
We noticed that they were meticulous even during the ocular. We initially thought that they would just get the measurements, but they were able to notice that some countertop spots were higher than its surrounding surface.
Before checking different kitchen countertops, we suggest informing them about your working budget. In doing so, you can just limit your options based on the budget range you’ve given them.
It’s actually the best way to go if you get easily persuaded too!
Another thing that we liked about them is that they were very careful to work around your pets at home. Of course, it would still be better if you can get your furry pals away from the worksite!

Another kitchen countertop contractor that has been around for years is Coordinated Kitchen and Bath. We’ve been hearing about them since we started asking around, so we gave them a shot when we decided to improve our dirty kitchen too.
When we heard that they have a beautifully-arranged showroom, we decided to pop in one Friday afternoon. Sadly, they’re not open on weekends so you better free up your schedule on a weekday.
True enough, you’ll appreciate going around their showroom. Their setup will even help you visualize how the different countertops would look like.
Still, we recommend having your kitchen photos ready. Their design staff will give a more precise design recommendation based on the photos.
They’re also a great option if you’re going for a customized design for your kitchen. And the great news is that you don’t need to pay for a hefty price tag for these designs, which we highly appreciate.
During installation, we love that their team arrived on time. They also went straight to work after orienting us about what will happen during the day.
While they always try to meet the agreed timeline (even earlier to some), we noticed that they’re not too proactive when it comes to sending updates to their clients.
We even had to follow up just to get these updates, which could be quite annoying to some clients.
