California Closets is widely known for their full custom closet setup. In our case, we only tapped them when we had to replace new cabinet doors in our guest room.
Since the room’s quite small, we wanted to maximize the space by replacing the old plain white sliders to mirrored ones.
And true enough, these cabinet masters proposed mirror doors with soft matte gold frames—the room instantly felt bigger than it actually is! They also matched the paint and finishes with the existing room color so we don’t need to repaint the entire room.
We also saw other cabinet door options such as frosted glass and textured inserts, so you can check their current portfolio too if you’re interested in that.
Another thing that we liked about them is that they can install cabinet lights too. They definitely saved us from reaching another contractor, which also meant extra savings for labor work!
You’ll also love that they’re open seven days a week, so if you’re more comfortable dealing with them on a weekend, then you can expect them to be responsive during that time.

When we moved to our house, we decided to keep the oddly shaped walk-in closet that came with it. After all, we didn’t have any idea on what to do with it during that time.

Our neighbor had their mudroom renovated and mentioned about Coastal Closets helping them with their cabinets. We never realized how messy our entryway was until we saw how organized our neighbor’s were.
After a few days of assessing our budget and saving pegs, we decided to call them to start with all the planning. We showed them what we wanted, informed them about the size, including our budget.
Even better, they tried to sketch it out on the spot, which made us even more excited. They proposed different types of closet doors that will work well in our entryway.
Another thing that we liked about them was their approach to small spaces. They fixed our entryway and made open cubbies for our shoes, and a bench with hidden drawers for our kids’ backpacks.
They also made sure to have a sleek vertical closet for all our winter gears. The closet door was so discreet, you wouldn’t even notice that it’s there.
The usual turnaround time between finalizing the design and manufacturing the cabinets was about two weeks. So if you’re quite in a hurry, the waiting time could be quite long for you.
Nonetheless, they were still able to schedule installation right away after the cabinets had been delivered. You can also expect them to finish the installation in just one day.
