Lindeman Lake is near Chilliwack Lake, which is east of Vancouver. It’s inside Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park.

How to Get to Lindeman Lake

Lindeman Lake is near Chilliwack Lake, east of Vancouver. Take Highway 1 east for about 75 km to Exit 104. Turn right onto No. 3 Road, then right at Tolmie Road, and immediately left back onto No. 3 Road. 

Follow it as it becomes Yarrow Central Road, then Vedder Mountain Road. Turn right onto Chilliwack Lake Road after the bridge. Continue for about 40 km until just before the road turns to gravel. Look for the Lindeman Lake parking lot sign.

There are tons of fantastic photo spots all around Lindeman Lake! The lakeside area where you first arrive is perfect for capturing stunning shots, but it’s also the most popular spot.

If you want to avoid the crowds, follow the trail markers around the left side of the lake. You’ll find plenty of hidden gems and peaceful spots along the way, perfect for snapping some unique photos and enjoying the serenity.

Power Through Rock Boulders

Okay, we’re going to be honest. The hike to Lindeman Lake is quite rocky. There’s quite a lot of rock boulders that you’ll have to climb over so make sure to wear sturdy hiking boots with good ankle support to prevent any injuries.

However, they’re not too hard to navigate and you can just walk over most of them. But, every now and then, you would need to put your hands down to help steady yourself.

Camp at the Lake

Another activity you can do here is camping. Yes, there are several campsites in Lindeman Lake, however, make sure to book a pass from BC Parks, 4 months in advance!

These campsites are first-come, first-served, so make sure to arrive early so you can pick a good spot. Good news though, is that the campground has a pit toilet, camping platforms, and dirt sports. All sites are conveniently located near the toilet.

Have a Swim

While the water is a bit chilly here at Lindeman Lake, you can definitely take a dip here. The lake is glacial so it stays cold, but it’s incredibly refreshing to swim in.

It’s about 20 meters deep though, so make sure that you know how to float and swim in deep water before you take a dip here. Also, there are plenty of spots to relax around the lake, like the popular platform that hangs over the water.

Go Paddleboarding

Paddleboarding has become a popular activity here at Lindeman Lake. However, although the hike here is short, it’s also steep so it’ll be a challenge to carry a heavy paddle board here.

If you plan to paddle board at Lindeman Lake, choose a paddle board with a backpack for easier transport.

Stare in Awe at the Alpine Lake

Most people can’t help but stare at this bright blue, super dreamy alpine lake, and we can’t blame them. As you look closer at the lake, you’ll see that the crystal-clear waters reflect the peaks that surround it. There’s nothing quite like it.

Sidekick Brewing is a must-visit for the best pizza in town! It’s always fresh and mouth watering with a deep dish and a crispy, cheesy crust. The beer selection is also fantastic, and the location right by the river with a spacious patio makes it even better.

The potato fingerlings were a hit, and the mustard beer dip was both unique and delicious. The veggie pizza was incredible—loaded with cheese and veggies, and big enough to share with a friend.

Chicken wings here at Church’s Texas Chicken are packed with juicy meat and free of gristle or fatty bits. They’re incredibly crispy and tender, especially with the $1/wing promo. 

The chicken, fries, and bombers are served hot, crispy, and full of flavor. Definitely swing by for some outstanding fried chicken.

Pizza 64 in Chilliwack is a gem! The pizza has a perfect crust, fresh ingredients, and best of all, NO GREASY FINGERS! It’s amazing to enjoy pizza without needing a mountain of napkins.

The Shahi Paneer Pizza is a standout, with generous chunks of paneer—don’t forget to add ginger, cilantro, and go for medium spice! The Italian Feast and Tandoori Chicken pizzas are fantastic, too.

The tacos and the vibe here are spot on—everything is cooked to perfection. The flavors are incredible, the service is top-notch, and the restaurant is clean and in a great location.

We had the Mexican bowl with pork, and the flavors were unreal—highly recommend it! The tacos were also amazing, and we can’t wait to return and try more dishes.

A charming beach-style café in Chilliwack with a hipster vibe that’s just right. They offer a great selection of coffee for any coffee aficionado. The menu strikes a perfect balance—varied enough to choose from, but not overwhelming.

We loved the honey oat latte; it paired perfectly with the Almond Flour Brownie. Don’t miss out on their chocolate chip cookie and matcha cheesecake—they’re also fantastic!

The bed is very comfortable, and the spacious shower is a plus. Overall, it offers great value for the price. However, be aware that it’s located right next to the street, which might slightly affect your experience.

This hotel is perfect for a quick stop. The continental breakfast was fantastic and included in the room rate, featuring fresh bacon, pancakes, and eggs. –

The gas station right in front was super convenient for fueling up before you leave for Lindeman Lake. Although there’s some noise from the nearby highway, closing the blackout curtains made for a restful night’s sleep.
