How much does a laminate countertop cost in Vancouver?
In Vancouver, a mid-grade laminate countertop may start around $40 per square foot. Labor is already included in this cost.

We were reorganizing and cleaning the kitchen when we noticed that the edges on our old countertops were starting to peel. The part near the sink has also started to bubble, that’s when we decided to check if our budget can handle a countertop replacement.
We saw one of FloForm Countertops’ ads while scrolling through social media, so we decided to give them a shot.
We initially asked for a quotation, but we were happy to hear that they’re willing to send samples to our place. They even told us that they can deliver it themselves so they could help us choose the right swatch that will go well in our kitchen.
On top of that, we liked that they provided big swatches, so we were able to appreciate it even better.
Here, you can also see several textures and patterns. So whether your kitchen is modern or traditional, you’ll surely find something that will match your vibe.
You can also expect them to send a virtual layout render before you sign up on any project, ensuring that you’re happy with the desired output before committing.
Another thing that we liked about them is that they keep their communication lines open at all times. We emailed them some questions at 3 in the morning, and upon waking up at 9, we already got the answers.

If you’re looking for detail-oriented and sort of a clean-freak contractor, then Faro Countertops won’t disappoint. Since our kids have asthma, we didn’t even have to think twice about hiring this team for our laminate countertop renovation.
And true enough, the contractors had boot covers to keep our floors protected. Not only that, these guys even covered the floors and countertops, just to make sure they won’t stain or scratch any surface.
Oh, we almost forgot to mention that the contractors visited our home multiple times just to take precise measurements. They really made sure to get the correct dimensions right the first time, preventing project delays from happening.
We also thought that it would take them a week before they finished the project, but were quite surprised to see the output in just five hours. That just means minimal disruption in our household, which we really admire.
However, it got pretty loud during the entire renovation. You better be prepared for this, especially if you have very reactive pets, babies, or if you have a work-from-home setup.
Meanwhile, we got a different contractor to work on our kitchen cabinets, but we’re glad that they know how to work around other tradesmen too.

Ever experienced staring at design watches and just don’t seem to get it? We totally get where you’re coming from! And that’s the reason why we had to go for Van Countertops.
One of our friends told us that these guys knew what their taste would be like, so they could really be a great fit for those that don’t seem to have any idea…just like us!
While they have several design options, we were too overwhelmed with them. We realized that we were too indecisive—it would’ve been better if we brought someone who can help us choose from the get-go.
Their consultations didn’t feel rushed as well, compared to what we’ve experienced with the other contractors. They took their time in explaining and comparing our options, which helped us know the difference.
If you’re a visual person, you’ll love that they will show you their photos and mockups, which will allow you to appreciate the renovation project you’re about to commit to. And yes, they make sure to show you these right before you make an initial payment.
Aside from changing our laminate countertops, they also recommended that we change our backsplash too. And since we’re already at it, we trusted them too!
But don’t worry, they won’t overwhelm you with extra renovations that you don’t need.

When we encountered a plumbing issue at home, we realized that our kitchen renovation project would cost us way more than what we originally planned. Since we had to cut back somewhere, we decided to go for Discount Kitchen & Cabinets.
True to its name, their laminate countertops were pretty affordable. They even have a discount aisle that would give us even better discounts.
So if you’re not too particular about the design patterns or even texture, you can check it out first.
We called them first before dropping by, just to make sure they’re open on the day. When we called on a Saturday morning, they informed us that they had plenty of clients to accommodate, so they recommended a better time to visit instead.
We suggest that you do the same, so you could plan your visit.
Another thing that we liked about them is that they provided several design ideas based on the photo we provided. Make sure to give them various shots in different angles, so their recommendations would be more accurate.
However, they have limited stock, so if you’re in a hurry, we recommend that you go somewhere else.
Meanwhile, we appreciated how they fixed an issue about a color mix-up during installation. They handled our frustrations pretty well, and made sure to provide us with the correct one on the same day.

When we decided to make our ancestral home look more modern, one of the first things that we checked was the laminate countertops. Well, the kitchen was the most used part of that house, so that explains the order of priority.
We initially wanted a minimalist design, but upon seeing samples from Persaj Countertops, we decided to explore. Even better, these guys showed us samples that weren’t on display, which made us feel more exclusive.
It’s also great that they asked questions, including the kitchen room placement. I guess, they just had to know if that room receives enough natural light during the day.
They were also concerned about our movement in the kitchen, just to make sure if laminate countertops would be ideal with our lifestyle.
We also commend their precision. They were able to get the correct measurements right off the bat, so there were no back and forths during installation.
If you’re a bit indecisive, you’ll love that they entertain changes along the way. They will allow you to be as flexible as you can be, just be ready for extra charges for both materials and labor!
And if you’re working on a tight timeline, you can trust them to fit you into their busy schedule. So if you’re working for an urgent project, you may consider them instead.
