If you’re looking for a country club that handles events like a pro, then The Vancouver Golf Club should be on top of your list. Their staff will even make sure they handle all the hard work so you won’t have to!
We love that they were always on top of everything. They will even make sure all details are correct, and will even remind you of the things that weren’t part of your initial checklist.
We also find their country club relatively quiet. Even when they’re hosting multiple events with several guests, we still find a serene spot, perfect if you just want to quickly get away from the city noise.
During events, we love that they offer a separate room for the production team to get ready. It’s already part of the package, so if you’re hosting an event, no need to worry about setting up a separate tent for them—unless the space is too small for them!
Aside from the green fairways and surroundings, you’ll also love pops of color around the place, especially during spring and summer, as several flowers are in full bloom.
However, membership is required for you to enter this country club. And they really follow a strict dress code, so ditch your casual clothes when planning to go here.

What we like about The Arbutus Club is that you can enter this country club even without membership—as long as a member invites you in!
This country club is also an ideal spot for all the sporty people out here. Here, you can use their swimming pool, soccer and basketball playgrounds, as well as a fitness gym.
We also got to try their indoor tennis court, so if you hate playing under the heat of the sun, or simply want to play on a rainy day, then you can take advantage of that too!
They also have several meeting rooms, great for corporate meetings. You’ll also love that they have study rooms available, so if you’re bringing kids around, you can let them do their homework there while playing some tee!
Another thing that we like about this country club is that they offer a premium food experience to its members. We were able to try their whisky tasting masterclass with a great view of the fairways.
At night, we recommend dropping by their lounge, especially if you’re looking for some premium pub food. Our personal favorite was the nachos and wings, so don’t forget to try them while you’re here.
When it comes to coordination, you can expect their staff to quickly respond to your queries. This makes them an ideal venue for big events, especially weddings.
Quiet, private community
“It is really nice, quiet private community, they are membership. There are swimming pool, GYM, soccer playground, basketball playground, meeting room , party room , studying room etc many functional places. One of my friends is their member, she invited me to have lunch here. I ordered salad, tase fresh and good. Environment looks Tranquil and serene. Quite suitable for family, friends or company gatherings here. Worthy to go. As my friend told me membership is expensive, she wait 4 years to be formal members.”

We got a chance to see Hollyburn Country Club when our friend who’s a member of this exclusive country club invited us to attend the New Year’s Eve celebration with them.
Since the country club is normally open to members only, we made sure to grab this opportunity to see if this country club is suitable for us. What we liked about this place is how they really offer a premium experience for all the guests—even for non-members!
During buffet dinner, they only served food with premium quality ingredients. And for events, you can really expect them to tap all the production suppliers required to get the entire event moving.
However, we noticed that the staff were pretty preoccupied with other things that they forgot to collect our used plates, which made all the tables look a bit untidy.
The next day, we chose to go around to see their other amenities and we got to see that they offer lots of activities for kids and teens. Here, they have inflatable pools, bouncy castles, and even child care services.
You’ll also love that they offer private lessons in their fine arts center. And if you’re looking for a family-friendly activity, they also host movie nights from time to time.

We love going to Mayfair Lakes Golf & Country Club whenever we want to play with great views of the waters. It’s great that this country club designed the course with lots of water hazards, making it a perfect spot to prioritize your accuracy on the holes.
Just take note that they don’t normally announce closures ahead of time. Nonetheless, you can expect them to notify you through email three hours before the closure, so make sure to check your inboxes before heading to the country club.
Aside from its well-maintained fairways, this country club is also a great spot for events such as weddings. We were able to attend one and we saw how hands-on their team was.
The best part is that we were able to catch the sunset along with the scenic views. So if you’re looking for a venue with a picture-perfect backdrop, then this place is for you.
When it comes to their restaurant, we love that they serve good food too. When you’re here, don’t forget to try some of our personal favorites such as the salmon wellington, pad thai, and their New York steak.
Another thing that we loved about this palace is that they have happy hour offerings seven days a week. So it’s a bonus if you’re attending an event here any day of the week.
Has challenging courses with a nice view of the lakes
“Mayfair Lakes Golf, located in Richmond, is one of the courses I really like playing. It has a good mix of par 3s, 4s, and 5 holes. It’s flat mostly with a few hills, but it’s a challenging course, and as the name implies. It has a lot of lakes. You can easily lose a lot of golf balls if you hook or slice too much. The fairways are well taken care of, plus they are wide. Even though it rained quite a lot for a day and a half before we teed off. The course was still really good to play on because of the drainage. The greens were cut really short so they were still fast when you putted. I would play this course more, but it’s an expensive place to play, plus being semi private, it’s hard to get on.”

For those looking for a great country club around West Vancouver, then we highly suggest Capilano Golf & Country Club. What’s great about this country club is you don’t need to be a member to play, so guests are always welcome!
It’s also great that the community is very friendly, which makes it a great spot for beginners—yes, including those who don’t know much about golf at all!
The community is also very supportive, so expect them to encourage you to visit the country club more often.
When it comes to their course, this one offers several courses with elevation changes. So if you’re looking for a spot to practice shot precision, then you’ll love it here.
Meanwhile, Christmas is a festive event at Capilano Golf & Country Club too. A few years ago, we went here for Christmas brunch, and the carollers in full costumes were there to welcome us.
It’s also one of the favorite wedding venues here in the city. We were able to witness two weddings here last year, and were able to experience the same treatment and service, which we love.
You’ll also find several parking spots here, so don’t worry about it if you’re planning to host a really big event. This makes them a favorite venue for corporate events too!
