Well, it was good while it lasted—we started noticing weird smells near the basement that we actually started typing ‘signs that there’s a gas leak’ on Google. That’s what prompted us to contact the best gas fitters in Vancouver before things get worse.

Well, what can I say, my nose isn’t too reliable—I didn’t even know I needed a gas fitter until my old neighbor went straight to tell me that there’s a weird smell of gas near my patio heater.
When she saw that I had no idea about what’s happening, she immediately gave Pioneer Plumbing & Heating Inc.’s number, their trusted gas fitters since 1976!
We immediately called them and were surprised to book someone on the same day. The technician arrived earlier than expected, too!
We liked how the technician inspected our gas fittings well. He even explained how gas fittings degrade over time, which is highly expected in a damp Vancouver weather (yes, learned something new that day!).
He also didn’t judge us for asking too many questions—like, 40 in total! We appreciate their patience with someone who doesn’t know anything about gas lines.
We observed how the technician thoroughly inspected the gas fittings. He even used pressure testers, so if you’re kind of suspecting a leak, it would be better to call them right away!
And if you’re expecting a detailed inspection, we highly recommend these guys. They don’t even charge extra for emergency callouts!
However, we’re not too happy with the handwritten repair report sheet. While we don’t totally mind getting a hard copy, we would’ve preferred the printed one, especially since the handwriting wasn’t legible.

One fine day, I was trying very hard to replace an old gas range in our ancestral house. After an hour of trying without being successful, I gave up and decided to ask for help from the pros.
Before I even checked online, I saw an ad flyer of Goldstein Plumbing & Gas on my parents’ messy kitchen counter. I gave them a call, and luckily, someone answered right away.
If you’re someone who loves knowing what the ballpark cost is before committing to a service, sorry to tell you but you have to let these guys look at your gas fitting first. Well, at least, you’ll get a more consistent quotation!
You also don’t need to worry about filing permits as they will handle that for you.
The technician was expected to arrive a bit later than expected, but good thing their office staff gave us a heads up, ensuring that we’re still good with the schedule.
What impressed us the most is that the technician is ready with his shoe covers, which tells us about how much they value our space, and how dedicated they are in maintaining its cleanliness.
That’s also great news for households with pets and little kids, as we want to always keep our floor squeaky clean, whenever we can!
Now, for the downside: sadly, they’re not the cheapest option out there! However, just thinking about the permits that they’ll process for me, I think they’re definitely worth the extra buck!

Five years ago, we were halfway through a bathroom renovation when our contractor casually mentioned about a licensed gas fitter to move a line.
Of course, our renovation had to be put on hold (which also means utilizing just one toilet and bath for our family of five).
Good thing Proflow Plumbing Heating Gas picked up on the second ring, which made us feel like we could go back to our renovation sooner than later!
And true enough, these guys acknowledged our sense of urgency and told us that they could squeeze us in just two days. We were even surprised that he only had to assess our lines in less than ten minutes, which showed us that he really knew his stuff.
However, he came almost an hour later than our scheduled appointment. We would’ve appreciated it if someone gave us a heads-up call.
Nonetheless, we still liked them for their seamless work. They even double-checked the other appliances at home—free of charge! Or maybe just to make up for the unexpected delay.
And while the technician was friendly, we noticed that he wasn’t really chatty. Of course, he would still answer your questions, but would probably address the other clarifications after he finishes his actual work.

He’s helped us again to replace an old sewer line in our front yard and caused minimal damage to our landscaping/retaining wall. The best part of calling Pink Plumbing is that they’re really one of the most reliable options out there—when they say they’re open 24/7, they really mean it! Another ‘best part’ would be the pink van that pulls up to your driveway.
It was so bright that my 3-year-old noticed it right away. She even thought that Barbie’s inside, ready to save our day.
Okay, going back to their promptness—we called them in the morning, and had someone (and that bright pink van) outside our doorstep by that same afternoon.
While they were quick for us, we’ve heard from a few people that they had to wait a few days during peak season.
Also, some clients hate that their van isn’t discreet at all. So if you don’t want to be loud about your repairs and installations at home, they’re not the best one for you.
Nonetheless, we appreciate that the technician was wearing his proper uniform, which is not very common nowadays. He even introduced himself before he walked us through the process.
Since we had a new fireplace, we needed their help in installing new lines so we could run gas to the new fixture. He even gave us a quotation straight up, and didn’t even try to convince us to have our other gas fittings checked.

We weren’t even planning on dealing with any gas work at home this month, but just when we were expecting visitors, our gas fireplace started acting funny.
I was putting it off at first, but when one of my kids noticed that weird clicking sounds, we knew we had to call the pros—unless we wanted our guests to freeze during winter!
We had Trifecta Plumbing Heating & Air Ltd to work on our parents’ gas fireplace last year, and since we were happy with their service, we decided to try them at home too.
The lady on the other line was straightforward, we could sense that it was one of their busiest days so they had to just get things done.
But when I mentioned my parents’ record, we were surprised that she remembered us, making our transaction more smooth.
If you’re expecting someone that can be at your doorstep a few minutes after your call, we’re sorry to break it to you, but they’re not it. Instead, you can expect them to give you a time window, so you can at least plan your day out.
We noticed how detail-oriented and organized their technician was. He came with a clean toolbox, and all the equipment needed to have our gas fireplace fixed.
He also explained that the issue was just a minor gas flow, and a dirty sensor. That day even became an educational time for us to learn something new about our gas fireplace!
Even better, the technician conducted a quick safety check on the entire gas system, just to see if we didn’t miss out on any.

Honors warranty for their services
“Zack is very helpful and most importantly, would honour the warranty for their services, without any hassle! We got one of their technicians fix a burst water pipe near our outdoor faucet more than 2 years ago. It was done nicely with the wall patched up well. As it turned out, the new frost free faucet failed after a year and another technician came to replace it free of charge. Another winter came and the replacement faucet failed again. This time, Zack came, carefully identified the root cause of the problem (the pipe, not just the faucet), and took the efforts fixing it free of charge again. We greatly appreciate it!“
