As soon as we noticed that most of the delivery guys have been stumbling on the edge of our outdoor staircase, we knew we had to ask for help.
We were looking for a contractor that can work with us on a weekend, so when we say that Luka Masonry’s open seven days a week, we immediately contacted them to ask for their availability.

If there’s a masonry contractor that we would reach out to when we want something beyond basic, then it’s definitely Tetristone Fine Masonry. In our block, any house with intricate stonework probably seeked this masonry contractor’s help.
Since we wanted a very detailed curved edging for our new retaining wall, we decided to work with them on that project. They’re not only detail-oriented when it comes to carving patterns, they’re also meticulous in terms of material selection.
From afar, you could immediately appreciate that each stone piece was carefully chosen. It even looked like those stones were made just for that retaining wall.
During the construction, these masonry pros constantly updated me about their progress. So if you can’t manage them onsite, you’ll love that you can still get updates even if you’re in the office or out on a vacation.
You can also trust them to work within the given timeframe. They even have a project timetable just to keep track of their schedule, which prevents them from having delays.
Just be ready to shell out more than what you initially expected. Because of unforeseen work, they had to purchase more materials which were not factored in the original quotation.

Our friend recently bought an old home near Broadway and wanted to check if the structure is still intact. After seeing hairline cracks near the windows and the foundation, we knew we needed Nickel’s help.
What we liked about them is that they were confident that they could handle the quick fix. They also gave us peace of mind by explaining why cracks in older homes are normal, and what they would do to repair it.
Additionally, you can expect them to give you tips on how you can prevent it after fixing it.
And if you’re scared that they will only perform patch works, then stop right there. You’ll be amazed that they will really take their time to assess the older stones and bricks, and replace them to strengthen the foundation.

Can deal with small to large masonry projects
“Nickel Masonry has completed two projects for our Strata. One was repair of a very old low stone retaining wall where the masonry had cracked and very large granite stones had shifted because of pressure from tree roots. The other was a small project where the masonry attaching the cap stones on top of a concrete wall had failed. That involved detaching and reattaching a railing to repair the masonry as well. Sam Fame was great to deal with. The costs he quoted were competitive – and much less than some other contractors. The work was completed in a timely manner, Sam provided updates, and the work was high quality – he’s clearly a very experienced professional.”
