Dr. Zaid Mammo wrapped up his medical education at the University of Toronto prior to relocating for the completion of his ophthalmology residency at the University of British Columbia.
It’s impressive that he has a combined subspecialty in both medical and surgical retina, and to top that off, he also completed subspecialty training in retinal surgery.
In our opinion, his extensive training and expertise in both medical and surgical retinal surgery make him a highly skilled ophthalmologist.
Dr. Mammo’s also quite skilled at a wide range of eye disorders, including diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, retinal vascular occlusions, and many others.
We also think that with his position as a surgeon and medical retina specialist at Vancouver General Hospital, he has the advantage of having access to exceptional facilities.
From what we’ve seen, the hospital itself is also easy to access, as it’s located in a central area with good transportation links. Although we did notice that parking is a bit limited, keep that in mind.
Despite this, we thought it was admirable that he persists in conducting research for the development of treatments for eye conditions.
His research is backed by the Retina Foundation of Canada and the Canadian Glaucoma Research Society, which we found remarkable as these organizations are highly respected in the field of ophthalmology.
In conclusion, we highly recommend Dr. Zaid Mammo if you’re looking for one of the top ophthalmologists in Vancouver.
