Luna Health Clinic is a boutique natural health clinic for women that provides evidence-based care.

This facility provides both in-person and virtual consultations for new and existing patients, which we find convenient. They also offer fertility, gynecology, digestion, skin health, and a variety of other services.

We like their detailed consultation services as they provide clients with a personalized strategic treatment plan while monitoring their progress. They offer continuing care to prevent any relapses as well.

Now, if you need nutritional advice, this clinic provides clinical nutrition and lifestyle counseling services. This, in our opinion, is ideal for women who want to transition to a healthier lifestyle.

For initial consultations, this clinic charges a fee of CAD 225 to 275. It’s a little bit expensive, but repeat patients will benefit from lower rates, so there is some incentive there.

Another distinguishing feature of this clinic is that it uses herbal medicine, which we think is unique. Luna Health Clinic uses plant extracts to treat infections, balance hormones, and promote healing.

Just when you thought their services end there, Luna Health Clinic also offers a wide range of lab tests. We believe this makes them a one-stop clinic for women’s health because they provide almost all health services.

Moreover, most patients we’ve spoken to praise their services as they felt that their health concerns were genuinely being addressed. Some clients also stated that the doctors’ level of care and attention made them feel at ease and well-cared for.

If you’re looking for an organization that specializes in women’s health and fertility, we recommend the Luna Health Clinic.

Pros

  • Free discovery call
  • In-person and virtual consultations are available
  • Wide range of women’s health services
  • Uses herbal medicine
  • Offers comprehensive lab tests

Cons

  • Limited team of doctors
  • Relatively higher rates

Passionate and knowledgeable staff

“I saw Dr. Laura Nicholas for about 6 months prior to getting pregnant. She is a wonderful ND and is very passionate and knowledgeable in Women’s Health and fertility. You can tell that she really cares for her patients and genuinely wants to get you to reach your health goals and fix or problem-solve the health issues you may be dealing with. Her new clinic, Luna Health is a wonderful space right by the water. The IV suite looks directly out to the ocean so that makes it extra relaxing! I would highly recommend Dr. Nicholas if you’re searching for an ND! And even more so if you’re looking for someone who specializes in women’s health + fertility.” -Luna G.

High-quality of care and attention

“Dr. Nicholas is an incredible physician who has supported my health journey for over a year with success. BC Women’s Hospital was formed in 1994, and they are the only dedicated hospital and health center for women in British Columbia.

They provide a wide range of gynecology services, including contraception, pregnancy complications, and pelvic pain.

They also provide labor, birth, and post-partum care. We believe that this establishes BC Women’s Hospital as an ideal facility for women who require assistance during and after pregnancy.

The best thing about this hospital is its dedicated urgent care center, which is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. They also have a paramedic-staffed ambulance service.

Aside from that, they also provide support services, which we think are beneficial for patients seeking therapy and counseling.

These services include nutrition and diet modification, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, and many more services aimed at improving mental and social health.

Unfortunately, we have received some negative feedback regarding the wait time at BC Women’s Hospital. Some patients, however, stated that this only occurs during busy hours.

Nonetheless, we believe that accessibility is critical for health care facilities, so this information should be considered before deciding to use their services.

All in all, we recommend BC Women’s Hospital because they are capable of handling emergencies and offer a wide range of women’s health services.

Pros

  • Open 24 hours
  • Wide range of gynecology services
  • Has a dedicated urgent care center
  • 24/7 on-call ambulance service
  • Provides mental and social health services

Cons

  • Relatively longer waiting time
  • Charges parking fee

Dr. Elena Fenske advocates empowering women to stay healthy using a combination of naturopathic health services.

These services are designed to treat illnesses using natural remedies like herbs, plant extracts, exercise, cupping, and others. They also sell nutraceuticals and botanical medicine.

Some of the services this clinic provides include lifestyle coaching and counseling, with Dr. Elena addressing sleep quality and stress management.

We believe this service is ideal for women who want to live a healthy lifestyle and develop better eating habits. We would also like to mention that this clinic also offers clinical nutrition and therapeutic diets.

To give clients an idea of this service, Dr. Elena offers gluten-free, plant-based, DASH, and paleo diets to reduce the risk of developing illnesses and enhance a person’s overall health.

We do want to point out, however, that this establishment requires an appointment due to limited available slots. We’d also like to mention that there are only a few parking spaces available at the clinic.

Even so, we believe this clinic is one of the best women’s health clinics in Vancouver because it takes a more natural approach to healing.

Pros

  • Specializes in naturopathic services
  • Sells nutraceuticals and botanical medicine
  • Offers lifestyle coaching and counseling
  • Free 15-minute online consultation

Cons

  • Appointments required
  • No emergency services

After my husband & I experienced 2 early miscarriages, we decided to see if she could provide us more help as we tried for our 3rd pregnancy. We are very thankful to God for allowing Baby 3 to get to 32 weeks so far, and for all the help we have received through Dr. Elena in the process! She is warm, detailed, and researched so much on her own time to make sure I had as much information possible during our time together, based on my own health needs. 100% recommend!.” -Jenny S.

Ova Women’s Health Physiotherapy is a pelvic health physiotherapy clinic that takes a “whole-person” approach to evaluation and treatment, focusing on the individual’s story.

We liked how this method helps patients understand the source of their symptoms. In addition, we appreciate how accessible their services are, as they provide both in-person and virtual sessions.

This clinic offers prenatal and postpartum services such as birth preparation and recovery, among other things. In our opinion, this service is ideal for women suffering from various types of pelvic pain, back pain, and other similar issues.

Additionally, Ova Women’s Health Physiotherapy also offers pelvic health treatments. This service performs a full-body physical examination to develop a personalized treatment plan to ensure optimal pelvic health.

This clinic also offers orthopedic physiotherapy for those who need assistance for acute or chronic musculoskeletal injuries. It’s also worth mentioning that this service is also available to men, making the clinic more accommodating.

Now, we’re not big fans of the fact that this clinic is only open three days a week. We believe this limits their availability, making it difficult for clients to schedule a last-minute appointment.

Apart from that, we thought Ova Women’s Health Physiotherapy deserved to be on our list because they treat a variety of conditions that benefit both pregnant and non-pregnant women.

Pros

  • Offers in-person and virtual sessions
  • Provides prenatal and postpartum care
  • Personalized treatment plans
  • Orthopedic physiotherapy also available to men

Cons

  • Only open three days a week
  • Limited women’s health care services

Customer Reviews

Extremely Professional

“I was recommended to Nasim by a friend who was also pregnant at the time and I cannot begin to explain what a blessing this was. Not only is Nasim extremely professional and great at what she does but she also goes above and beyond for her patient’s care. I have not come across any health care provider who takes so much time and effort for their clients. When I go for my weekly treatments to Nasim, I feel calm, relaxed, in the safest hands and leave feeling so much better. She is treating me for physiotherapy after an accident as well as for pelvic physiotherapy for my pregnancy. I cannot imagine going through pregnancy without pelvic physiotherapy and highly recommended it for all expectant moms. All in all, Nasim is the best and if you go to her once you will be hooked for life because that is how amazing she is!.” -Sheleeza M.

Offers concrete and reassuring services

“Nasim is a caring, trustworthy, gentle pelvic floor practitioner. She offers concrete help, education, and support. I appreciated her free 10-minute online consult. In person, she is highly professional, reassuring, and never in a rush. I felt totally at ease. I recommend her very highly.” -Marguerite P.

St. Paul’s Maternity Care specializes in prenatal, delivery, and postpartum support. We liked that they have a large team of doctors because we believe this ensures patients receive the best possible care and support.

What we liked best about this hospital is its many private single-room labor, delivery, and postpartum rooms. These rooms have private bathrooms and sleeper chairs, and patients can request equipment such as birthing balls to be brought in.

In our opinion, St. Paul’s is especially well-suited for patients seeking a full-service hospital. Some of what they offer include management of labor and delivery, breastfeeding support, and many more.

What makes this clinic unique is that they have a six-bed neonatal intensive care unit staffed by specially-trained nurses and pediatricians 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

To help women care for their health, this hospital also offers postpartum contraceptive counseling, prenatal and postpartum therapy, and pregnancy counseling.

Sad to say, this clinic does not offer emergency services. We also wish they had offered more financing options for patients.

Despite these challenges, we have received positive feedback from patients who appreciate the staff’s assistance and kindness. They were also pleased with their after-care services.

Therefore, we believe St. Paul’s Maternity Care is one of Vancouver’s best women’s health clinics for those seeking full-service patient and baby care.

Pros

  • Large team of doctors
  • Numerous private rooms
  • Has a neonatal intensive care unit
  • Offers counseling and therapy services

Cons

  • No emergency services
  • Financing options are not available
