As the name suggests, a medical spa provides all the relaxation of a day spa while offering cosmetic treatments normally only conducted at licensed clinics, like laser hair removal and fillers.
With the number of medical spas in Vancouver, though, finding one might be intimidating at first. Luckily, we’ve rounded up our favorite spots you might want to try if you want to look (and feel) refreshed and glowing!
1. Vancouver Medi Spa

Vancouver Medi Spa picked up its reputation among the locals as a reliable spot for laser treatments and more.
They offer various non-invasive procedures for boosting skin, removing wrinkles, and even body contouring for those aiming to obtain a specific body build.
What earned the spa its fame was its laser procedures, spotlighted to us by various regulars. While their laser hair removal treatments stood out as a favorite, we also appreciated their offerings for hair rejuvenation and pain management.
Consultations at the spa also garnered praise from customers we got to chat with. The staff reportedly went the extra mile of giving personalized advice based on each client’s skin type and conditions.
With how well-received their services are, we do have to note that they certainly don’t come very cheap. Save an appointment here for a special treat!
Lastly, some customers mentioned having difficulties following up on their services after availing, so make sure to get your aftercare advice right after treatment.

If you prefer a more medical kind of medical spa, then the Medical Rejuvenation Centre might be up your alley. Found in downtown Vancouver, this spa rose to fame as a hotspot for newcomers just getting started with cosmetic treatments.
As their name implies, MRC’s offerings highlight skinboosters, injections and fillers to help repair and keep customers’ skin healthy. It doesn’t end there, though, as we were pleasantly surprised to see their body and hair growth procedures too.
MRC was suggested to us by locals for its friendly and welcoming atmosphere, so we had to see for ourselves. The staff were happy to answer any inquiries we had, even before we tried visiting ourselves.
Regulars we chatted with also backed this up, mentioning the clinic’s efforts to maintain customer comfort above all. They would adjust treatments accordingly, allowing clients to take breaks as needed if feeling discomfort.
That being said, some regulars mentioned having to come back often for appointments, as their treatments aren’t known for longevity even with proper maintenance.
One last word of advice some customers offered was to regularly follow up with the spa for scheduling post-treatment evaluations, as the waiting time for these to be scheduled can get pretty long.

Looking for a spa to get treatments done, but don’t know which ones to even start with? Locals we spoke to pointed us to Ovo Medical Spa. The spa was reportedly a favorite spot for customers to not only get treatments, but gain additional insight into their skin.
Ovo Medical’s offerings range from classic treatments like Botox and microneedling to specific wellness programs. They target digestive wellness, pain management, and even weight loss.
When we visited the spa, we immediately heard praise for their skin consultations. These go in-depth into the various aspects of skin health, identifying types, any issues, and recommended treatments.
This level of detail also flowed into their treatment plans, which customers raved to us about. Each treatment plan was very transparent with clearly outlined steps to help customers feel both at ease and less lost on what they have to do.
One thing customers wanted more transparency on was the prices at the spa. Some mentioned feeling like the prices for their treatments came out higher than they expected.
This also led to situations where customers felt that the cost for follow-up services and treatments was higher than even the original procedure booked.

The Skin Girls popped up as a favorite spot for clients who like a more casual and relaxed spa. The spa is a hotspot for those who like feeling pampered and refreshed, even in the middle of treatments.
Offering everything from injectables and chemical peels to body sculpting massages, The Skin Girls got popular for their friendly and painless approach to their treatments. We find this pretty handy for nervous customers, including us.
Their spa space was similarly welcoming, with brightly lit interiors and a pastel color scheme. When we got to chatting with regulars, some mentioned the spa being a favorite for vegans, thanks to the eco-friendly beauty products used in the spa.
They also mentioned the flexibility of the spa’s treatment plans. They adjust procedures accordingly based on whether the treatment is proceeding well or taking a bit too long to show results.
Where the spa isn’t quite as lenient is their rescheduling policies. Customers mentioned the 72-hour advanced notice for rescheduling, making it difficult to reschedule in case of emergencies.
Additionally, a few customers mentioned getting their appointments delayed on short notice, so we’d advise keeping in close contact with the team in cases like these.

Finding its initial popularity among Kitsilano locals, the Renue Medical Spa landed on our radar for being beginner-friendly. Easy to find and get treatments done, this spa reportedly saved lots of folks the hassle of waiting forever for appointments!
Though most medical spas focus on face and body treatments, we noted Renue’s robust offerings for hair treatments. Laser hair removal was on offer, of course, alongside PRP injections to help combat hair loss in the early stages.
Another factor that stood out to us, even before we visited, was how proactive the spa was when communicating. We got answers quickly from the staff, and were even offered their complimentary free consultations!
When we visited for real, regulars we spoke to praised the look of the results of their treatments. Most reported their procedures turning out quite natural, without looking too overdone or artificial.
That being said, some regulars informed us that the consultation and service times could be quite limited. This makes some clients nervous about how in-depth the procedures are, or what steps to take afterwards.
Additionally, the spa requires mandatory follow-up appointments to evaluate the treatment’s results. Some customers mentioned that it takes a long time to reschedule these follow-up appointments. Make sure to keep your schedule clear just in case!
