Fortunately, with thorough research and insights, we found the top-rated ones. Here are the ones we ended up shortlisting as our top choices!

How Much Do Retirement Homes Cost in Vancouver?

Retirement homes in Vancouver typically cost between $1,500 and $6,000 per month. This often includes amenities like meals, utilities, on-site medical services, and access to a registered nurse.

How we chose the Best Retirement Homes in Vancouver

Quality of Care: We prioritized homes known for their high standards of medical and personal care, ensuring residents’ well-being is always top priority.
Staff Qualifications: We evaluated the training and experience of the staff, emphasizing homes with qualified, compassionate, and dedicated caregivers.
Amenities and Activities: We looked for homes that offer a wide range of amenities and activities, promoting an active and engaging lifestyle for residents.
Community and Atmosphere: We considered the overall atmosphere and sense of community within the homes, seeking environments where residents feel comfortable, respected, and at home.

Legacy Senior Living was created in honor of Leo Wertman, who started the business in 1960 that eventually became The Wertman Group of Companies.

What we appreciate most about this residence is its emphasis on walkability. The location enables residents to enjoy walks in neighborhood parks such as Queen Elizabeth Park and along peaceful residential streets.

We also appreciate that Legacy residents have convenient access to banking and medical services just a few blocks away, with the exciting shops at Oakridge Shopping Centre close by.

Regarding their accommodations, we were impressed with the variety of luxurious, air-conditioned suite layouts available, including one-bedroom, one-bedroom plus den, and two-bedroom suites.

The rooms also feature comfortable amenities like automatic blind controls, in-house TV messaging, and wireless internet, making them a comfortable and modern living space.

We’re just a bit iffy about their relatively high prices. But overall, Legacy offers a high-quality living experience with its convenient location and luxurious amenities.
