Established in 1995, BBQ Chicken & Pub Main St. brings the magic of Korean fried chicken to Vancouver, using 100% extra virgin olive oil to craft their delectable wings.

Hailing from South Korea, this beloved chain proudly stands by their motto, “BBQ stands for Better Best Quality.” Among the crowd-pleasers are the Golden Fried, Secret-Sauced, and Gangnam Style wings.

The spicy sauced wings are a standout, managing to be both crispy and drenched in sauce—a rare and delightful combination. Visit on Wing Wednesday, and you might just find yourself swearing off other wing spots in Vancouver.

Don’t miss out on trying the Cheesling wings, Gang-Jeong Chicken, and Secret-Sauced Chicken—each one left us thoroughly impressed, with the Cheesling wings stealing the show.

The flavors we tried were all exceptional: the BLACK (soy garlic), Sweet and Spicy, and Real Crispy hit the spot perfectly. The Sweet and Spicy wings, in particular, offered a perfect balance, and we’ll definitely be returning for more!

The onion rings here are an absolute must-try, adding the perfect crispy side to your meal. With three standout flavors—Original Red, Black, and Sweet and Spicy—there’s something for everyone.

Dine on Korean Chicken Wings at Ole Chicken

Contact details: +1 604-428-3909

Operating hours:

  • Wednesday and Thursday: 11:30am to 11pm
  • Friday and Saturday: 11:30am to 1am
  • Sunday: 12pm to 12am

This cozy spot serves up delicious Korean fried chicken that hits the spot when cravings strike. The boneless wings are impressively moist, with a satisfying crunch from the batter.

While nothing was particularly groundbreaking, it’s a solid choice for Korean fried chicken. We always go for the Snow White chicken, which pairs a sweet, creamy sauce with the crispy chicken—a delightful combination.

Other flavors to explore include garlic soy, Yang Nyeum, spicy soy, lemon mayo, and cheese prinkle, offering something for every palate.

On our visit, we also tried the spicy soup with sliced marble brisket and a side of sweet corn. It was hearty, savory, and served piping hot, with the brisket tender and full of flavor.

Even though they specialize in Korean fried chicken, their other dishes are definitely worth trying too.

Unwind with a Plate of Wings at Zabu Chicken

Website: https://www.zabuchicken.com/

Address: 1635 Robson St, Vancouver, BC V6G 1C8, Canada

Contact details: +1 604-602-0021

Operating hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 5pm to 1am
  • Friday and Saturday: 5pm to 2am
  • Sunday: 5pm to 1am

The concept here is straightforward—they focus on serving up delicious chicken wings, but don’t worry, they also offer a variety of other dishes like noodles, soup, rice, and classic Korean fare.

The food is solid, though their spice options are somewhat limited, with the lowest spicy level starting at 4.

The chicken wings are a standout—crispy and perfectly cooked. The sauce, sweet and tangy, adds great flavor without making the wings soggy. If you’re up for a challenge, the Zabu hot wings deliver serious heat.

However, if you’re not sure you can handle the spice, it’s a good idea to order the soy wings as well to balance things out—you don’t want to have to stop halfway because the heat is too intense (trust us, it can happen!).

The prices are on the higher side: 6 pieces of chicken wings are $8.95, 12 pieces are $14.95, and 18 pieces are $19.95. The Zabu Signature Series Yang Nyum Chicken is $21.95.

Established in 1979, The Cat and Fiddle Sports Bar has built a legendary reputation for their chicken wings. Their Wednesday Wing Nights are a local favorite, where they serve up massive, juicy, and plump wings—each weighing in at an impressive 13 pounds!

With 13 sauces and eight dry spices to choose from, these wings are coated in a signature mix they’ve perfected over decades.

At just 55¢ per wing on Wednesday nights, it’s a deal that’s hard to beat. In fact, the wings are so good that they sometimes sell out. But don’t worry, if you miss out on Wednesday, you can still enjoy their wings during Happy Hour from Monday to Friday, 2-5:30 pm.
