Meeting with a kinesiologist was a pivotal moment in my life. After facing setbacks, I knew I needed guidance to improve my physical performance and recover fully. My kinesiologist listened attentively as I shared my goals and challenges.
One thing they did was craft a tailored plan to help me reach my potential. Thanks to this decision, I’m practically a completely different person now – stronger, healthier, and more confident in my abilities.
So I share this list with you. You who may need help in achieving your own physical goals – don’t hesitate to seek out the expertise of a kinesiologist. It could be the turning point you’ve been looking for in your journey to better health and fitness.
How Much Do Kinesiologists Charge in Vancouver?
Kinesiologists in Vancouver charge between $99 to $110 per session, depending on your condition. While follow-up appointments range from $67 to $88 for a 45-minute to an hour consultation.
However, if you’re covered by the ICBC, you’re able to get a certain number of kinesiology appointments covered at no additional charge to you.
How we chose the Best Kinesiologists in Vancouver
Kin Lab
Specializing in ICBC active rehab programs and general kinesiology, perhaps one of Kin Lab’s strongest suits is that they have 11 clinics scattered all over Vancouver and its neighboring cities.
From the city center to North Vancouver, Richmond, Burnaby, and Surrey, they’ve made it convenient for clients to access their services no matter where they’re located in the Greater Vancouver area.
But, of course, it wouldn’t be complete without mentioning their team of 17 experienced and certified kinesiologists who each have their own expertise, from sports-related injury rehabilitation to general health, corrective exercise, and many more.
It’s also convenient that they’ve got you covered with the ICBC stuff. All you have to do is give them your ICBC claim number, and they’ll take care of everything for you.
Another thing is that they have an online booking system where you get to pick which kinesiologist to consult with and the location where you’d like to have your appointment.
Overall, Kin Lab offers a comprehensive and convenient experience for their clients, making it easy to access the care they need. We definitely recommend checking them out if you’re in need of kinesiology services.
Pros

Symmetrix Exercise & Rehab
Founded in 1992, Symmetrix Exercise & Rehab started in Burnaby, where they primarily serviced a variety of clients, including students, local celebrities, and even professional hockey players.
It was then in 1997 that they expanded their services to include exercise rehabilitation programming, primarily with motor vehicle accident clients who were referred from ICBC.
Now, we found it interesting that they apply a science-based approach to exercise rehab. This means that the main focus is more on individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s specific needs and goals than a one-size-fits-all approach.
It’s also reassuring that each member of their team holds a four year B.Sc. degree in kinesiology and years of rehab and training experience. This, to us, is quite impressive and thorough.
Apart from ICBC active rehabilitation and exercise therapy, Symmetrix also offers aquatic therapy, which we found inclusive as it’s a great choice for those who have difficulty exercising on land.
We’re just a bit bummed that they only have two studios. However, it’s impressive that they’ve been featured in numerous reputable companies like the Georgia Straight, the University of British Columbia, and LiveScience.
And with that said, we think Symmetrix Exercise & Rehab is one of the best options for those seeking comprehensive kinesiology services in Vancouver.
Pros
- Customized treatment plans
- Offers aquatic therapy
Cons
- Has only two studios
Supportive, motivating, and explain things well

Understanding trainers
“Symmetrix is a very special place for a number of reasons. The trainers take time to understand your needs and situation, whilst being encouraging and knowledgeable…”

West Coast Kinetics
West Coast Kinetics, nestled in Point Grey, is your go-to spot for kinesiology, personal training, and ICBC active rehabilitation services, alongside physiotherapy offerings.
So here’s a little of what to expect. Your initial session involves a comprehensive chat covering everything from past injuries to your lifestyle and desired fitness outcomes.
This sets the stage for a personalized exercise plan tailored precisely to your needs, showcasing their commitment to holistic wellness.
From there, they’ll make a personalized exercise prescription plan that we think is best suited for you and your needs. We liked this because it shows that they take a comprehensive approach to improving your overall well-being.
But what caught our attention were their private group fitness classes. These classes are designed with specific fitness goals in mind, which we liked because it allows for a more personalized and focused approach to achieving results.
