LL Private Jewellers is an ideal stop for those who are looking for jewelry appraisals, jewelry repairs and restoration, custom jewelry works, and even ring resizing—all under one roof!
We visited on a Friday afternoon to have our heirloom pieces appraised, but ended up having them for our daughter too, which really saved us a significant amount of time.
The best part is that it was done the same day, so we didn’t have to drive all the way back.
What’s great about them is that even with all these types of services, they can still accommodate your last minute appointment bookings. And yes, walk-ins are still very much welcome, so don’t worry if you didn’t call them ahead of time.
We were also surprised to see that they remained open beyond their closing time just to accommodate their last-minute customers. We love how this shop is very understanding with their clients’ busy schedules too.
Meanwhile, you can also take advantage of their personal courier services. So if you don’t have time to return to their store, you can just have your appraised jewelry shipped.
And even if their store remains closed on weekends, you’ll love that they quickly respond to emails even during the night, so if you need something urgent (or just want a quick update), you’ll love that they respond right away!

We knew Rodan Jewellers when we decided to change the engraved details on our wedding rings. They informed us about their appraisal services, so we decided to visit them to get our jewelry’s values updated.
What’s great about them is that they provide an extensive report, no matter where you’re planning to use it. With that, you can expect them to provide not just the current values, but also the detailed descriptions and photos too!
If you wish to sell your gold jewelry, you’ll love that Rodan will be happy to do so. Even if you have broken jewelry pieces or even assorted ones, they could still provide you a good value—much better than letting them rest in a safe box.
Another thing that we like about this jewelry appraisal shop is that they’re open on weekends, which is pretty rare around Vancouver. So busy individuals out there don’t have to worry about blocking off one weekday just to get their jewelry appraised.
We also brought some of our broken jewelry pieces for a repair. We had two bracelets with a broken lock, and we were surprised that they only charged us for one and had the other one free of charge, which was very thoughtful.

We first heard about Independent Goldsmith through a friend who had a custom-made ring there. We initially thought that their services are only limited to creating unique jewelry pieces, but we were told that jewelry appraisals are also available.
So when we needed to have our custom-made gold jewelry set appraised, it totally made sense to tap the experts in making them. We got this set made during the late 1980s, so we wanted to know the current value in case we wish to sell it anytime soon.
When we visited on a Saturday, we noticed that they were already attending to several clients, even if they just opened the shop. But since they have an ample staff, you can still expect them to accommodate you right away.
Additionally, even with the surge of clients during that day, we love that they didn’t rush the appraisal process. The appraiser even made sure that we were watching them assess the jewelry set, explaining the purity and the design intricacy on the spot!
We highly recommend getting your unique jewelry pieces here, especially if you prefer a thorough evaluation for these one-of-a-kind items.
We’re just not too happy about the longer lead time for the reports. While we got a few details on the spot, the written report was sent a week after our visit, which is not very ideal for those who are in a hurry.
