Unlike other shops that offer plastering as a side service, Contemporary House Ltd actually specialises in it. The company is led by a professional, multi-certified plasterer with 28 years of experience, Christopher.
That alone gives me the confidence that he has the skills to take on any plastering tasks, whether Venetian plaster or tadelakt plaster.
When we looked into Christopher’s previous work, we were even more impressed.
For instance, the lime plaster fireplace he made is such a masterpiece. The smoothness and the overall finish just looks like something straight out of a design magazine. His way of finishing it with a hand-applied drag texture brough elegance to the wall.
Another is his exterior project applying monolithic-style plaster finish. It got that tactile texture that gives the surface real depth while looking modern and clean. It’s also the kinds of finish that don’t overpower the architectural form of the space.
Chris is also punctual and communicative as many of his clients say. They shared that they were informed every step of the way, which made them comfortable.
However, note that Contemporary House Ltd is a one-man team. That means projects might take a bit longer to schedule. But honestly, I think the waiting time is worth it since you’ll be getting Chris’ full attention, skill, and years of experience.

Their specialisation in stucco is both a strength and a slight limitation. On the plus side, it means they truly understand the material. They have experience and knowledge with every texture, layer, and crack.
However, if you’re looking for other finishes like lime or Venetian, they might not be the right fit for you.
Despite that, I like that they cater to both interior and exterior plastering. It shows their versatility and means they can do any project. From upgrading your facade to repairing interior wall, they seem comfortable handling both.
As for their service quality, they’re reliable. Clients shared that the transition between their old and new stucco was almost seamless. The colour match is also spot on.
I also like their tidiness at work. They use protective covering on the areas they’re working in, and they did a thorough cleanup after the project. This is already a great bonus – less hassle for homeowners.

Pacific NW Plastering secured a spot on my list for catering to both commercial and residential properties. They also have interior and exterior plastering, making them a versatile choice for any project.
I believe their 20 years of experience in the trade gave them enough time to see and fix every type of plaster issue imaginable. From major wall restorations to minor surface cracks, they can handle it with precision.
This can also be seen on their portfolio. Their recent projects include basement plastering, which looks well-finished: no rough edges and uneven spots. I can tell they also focus on areas that most people don’t usually notice.
The team is also responsive for quote requests – just take note that it may take a couple of days before they can get back. But good thing is they have reasonable quotes compared to other companies.
They also have great communication. Clients note that the best thing about working with Pacific NW Plastering is they were kept in constant contact. That way, they never had to guess when they would be out and when the project would be completed.

Personally, I like that they offer a wide range of services that don’t stray too far with plastering. However, this could also mean divided focus, especially since they’re not a big team.
Despite that, I still think they’re worth the shot. Besides, they have beautifully-finished plastered walls as seen on their portfolio. Their plaster repairs are also impressive, with smooth transitions evident in every project.
Aside from that, I appreciate their good attitude. They come on time, listen to your concerns, and are very friendly. That kind of professionalism makes it easier to build trust and open communication.
Pricing is also reasonable. In fact, some clients say that other companies quote them twice or thrice the pricing of Texture Pro.

They may not have a big team but it’s good to know that they have a dedicated plasterer, Karan. So regardless if they offer painting or drywall repair services, their plasteing doesn’t take a back seat.
In terms of pricing, they aren’t overpriced and not cheap as well. They’re fairly reasonable, which what other clients also say.
I appreciate that Popcorn Ceiling Removal also have reasonable timelines. Clients share that they finished their projects on time and kept everything on track according to the schedule.
They can also work on tight timeline like what they did to a client. Mike and his whole Popcorn Ceiling Removal team quickly adjusted their plan and made the situation less stressful for the client. This is after discovering asbestos on the house.
However, some clients say that sometimes, communication may feel disjointed. This is because the main point of contact is typically Mike and isn’t always on the site. There can be moments when updates or small details don’t get relayed right away.
It’s nothing major, but still, an important note to keep in mind if you prefer on-the-spot communication.
