What we love about West Coast Sprinklers is that they’re very detail-oriented. During the initial inspection, we observed how they meticulously checked our yard, focusing on the amount of sun it receives around noon.
We also love that this contractor’s project manager is very hands-on. You can expect someone to visit the site to check if the installation is going as smoothly as expected.
During the installation, the project manager would also make sure to double-check the water pressure at different times of the day. They also made sure the entire lawn is covered, preventing dry lawn patches.
Another thing that we love about the technicians is that they make sure that they leave the work site clean at the end of each day.
Meanwhile, a few days after the installation, we noticed that some of the sprinkler heads needed to be adjusted, and we love that West Coast Sprinklers sent someone to fix them right away.
It’s also great that this contractor sticks to their original quotation, allowing you to follow your budget.
However, don’t expect them to schedule your initial appointment right away. If you’re in a hurry, this may not be the best option for you.

“Phillip installed a 5 zone sprinkler system and landscape lighting at my house. I was extremely happy with everything from the first site visit to provide an estimate, to the completed install. The price was much less than another company I spoke to and I feel the work and products used were top quality. Phillip was onsite 6 days a week until the project was completed. The work area was always cleaned up at the end of each day and he was happy to come back and adjust some of the sprinkler heads as needed. It can be hard to watch your lawn dug up, but he patched it up well and after a couple weeks it looks great. I would highly recommend West Coast Sprinklers.”

We decided to give University Sprinklers a try since our parents needed something low-maintenance for their garden. After all, they were already having a hard time dragging their old and heavy hoses.
Fortunately, this contractor offers an uncomplicated sprinkler system that even less tech-savvy customers can easily navigate.
During the ocular, the technicians took their time to survey the area, including which corners are getting the full sun. This thorough ocular allowed them to design a sprinkler system that can focus on watering efficiency.
We also love that the technicians came a day after I called to book an appointment. However, they can’t promise to schedule the installation right away as they’re dealing with a high volume of clients.
Meanwhile, for those of you who want to save more on your water bill, you may consider requesting their in-ground system. This is also perfect as the city complies with watering restrictions during summer.

“We have used University for years. We had another company on our street and decided to try them… Well, they turned on the system but didn’t fix the one broken section. So I had one section of my sprinklers that wouldn’t turn on and it was extremely hot out. The other company couldn’t send a tech out for 2.5 weeks! I called University and the lovely receptionist troubleshot over the phone with me and when we realized it was above our expertise she sent out a tech 2 days later who fixed it very quickly. Many years ago they installed an in-ground system at our home, one that saves water and complies with all summer restrictions while still keeping our plants and shrubs healthy. Our favorite part about dealing with the team is how responsive they were. We were quite surprised that someone was always ready to answer the phone, even beyond business hours.
It’s worth noting, though, that this contractor isn’t open on weekends. So if you can’t find time on weekdays, then they may not be the best option for you.
But don’t worry, should you encounter issues with your sprinkler systems during weekends, a dedicated client service manager can accommodate you right away.
We appreciate that the technicians arrived earlier than expected. They also went straight to work, which reflected their work dedication.
During installation, we also observed how detail-oriented the technicians are. In fact, they checked the sprinkler heads three times, adjusting them as needed.
These guys will also make a few suggestions, especially if you’re still using older sprinkler parts. Nonetheless, we appreciate that they weren’t too pushy about it, especially if you’re working on a tighter budget.
However, they don’t provide free quotations, so be ready to be charged a quotation fee.

“Some heads on one zone of our sprinkler system were not working properly, so I replaced a couple before realising ALL the sprinkler heads in that zone were not performing properly. It dawned on me there was either a leak or a bad valve, so I called WV Irrigation, who have done all our maintenance for many years. Eduardo came to check the situation, and he was brilliant – friendly, professional, and knowledgable. Elliot came by a little later to offer some assistance, and was also terrific. They solved the problem (a bad diaphragm in one of the valves) and took care of other problems we didn’t even know we had, including a significant leak in another zone. That will probably help our water bill! Highly recommended!”
