These 5 used motorcycle dealers in Vancouver had us burning rubber down the road!

We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Facilities -  Do they store their motorcycles safely? Are they organized well, making it easier to browse?

Motorcycle Selection - Do they carry a wide variety of motors, both for cruising or even motorsports? Do they carry stock from multiple popular brands?

Customer Service

> Professionalism - Is their staff friendly and polite towards customers? Are their schedules managed well?

> Communication - Is the team transparent about the status of their motorcycles? Are they responsive when it comes to client inquiries?

Accessibility - Is locating the shop/garage easy? Are they open at convenient times, even for people with busier schedules?

If you’re anything like how I was growing up, then you’ve probably dreamed of owning a bike. No, not just a granny bicycle! A whole motorcycle with a growling engine, chrome-plated exhausts, cool decals, and all that jazz.

But riding a motorcycle isn’t an easy hobby. Aside from needing the proper gear and riding skills to not eat dirt the moment you hop on, new motorcycles fresh off the assembly line are pricey!

In that case, it’s always worth looking into used motorcycles here in Vancouver. My first bike was pre-owned, and it kept me happy!

So if you’re looking to get a motorcycle without breaking the bank just yet, here are some shops you might want to browse.

How much does it cost to buy a used motorcycle in Vancouver?

A used motorcycle in Vancouver can cost you anywhere from $2300 to $18000, depending on the year, make, and model of the bike. Any modifications and pre-sale maintenance made on the bike affects the price too.

If you’re the type of rider who likes their bikes stylish, Daytona Motorsports might be up your alley. Rising to prominence for their stock and maintenance services of notable Japanese bike brands like Suzuki and Yamaha, we just couldn’t resist!

This specialty extended to their inventory of pre-owned motorcycles. We spotted quite a number of Yamaha and Suzuki motorcycles alongside a few Kawasaki bikes as well. Other brands included Harley-Davidson and KTM bikes.

If these heavier brands aren’t your speed, the dealership even stocks scooters and ATVs! A few regulars we spoke to especially appreciated the scooters, as they provided options for casual riders looking for a daily driver.

Speaking of casual riders, we got to speak to a few newer customers as well and heard pretty good things. They praised the team’s recommendations for bikes and accessories, reporting a quick delivery time for their bikes after purchase.

That being said, this quickness didn’t seem to apply to their parts delivery. Customers reported long waiting times after ordering parts to modify or even repair their bikes.

Lastly, customers also mentioned the higher costs for maintenance and installation services at the dealership than at other motorcycle centers, so we’d recommend keeping another garage in mind after purchasing your bike.

Pros

  • Quick and timely bike delivery
  • Reliable staff recommendations
  • Wide support for Suzuki and Yamaha bikes
  • ATVs and scooters are available

Cons

  • High cost of maintenance services
  • Long waiting time for ordering and delivering parts

Transparency and willingness to ensure I understood every detail

“Their transparency and willingness to ensure I understood every detail made me feel comfortable. One of the reasons I chose Daytona to purchase my R7 was because of a team member who owns an R7 and took the time to speak with me last year.”

– Mr. Wilson Acervo, Google Review

Went above and beyond by staying late to deliver my Hayabusa

“Huge shoutout to Patrick at Daytona Motorsports! He went above and beyond by staying late to deliver my Hayabusa—even during the Easter long weekend when the dealership was completely closed.”

– Mr. Nirav Parmar, Google Review

If you’re looking into used motorcycles in Vancouver, then there’s a chance you might have already heard of Carter Motorsports. The shop landed on our radar after noticing their popularity among riders looking to buy and sell pre-owned bikes.

What took us by surprise was the shop’s wide range of Honda bikes and gear, making it something of a hub for Honda enthusiasts as well. Their pre-owned bikes were more varied in brands, though, with a selection of Yamaha and KTM bikes among others.

We didn’t have a hard time finding them to check out their inventory in person, either. Their physical dealership was refreshingly easy to find, not to mention well-stocked with a layout that wasn’t a headache to navigate.

Their prices also made us realize why they were popular among pre-owned bike sellers and novice riders. We found the price tags of their pre-owned inventory quite reasonable. No breaking the bank needed here!

That being said, when we got to chatting with regulars, a few mentioned the dealership’s limited support and parts for other bike brands and models. Some mentioned the shop lacked parts for older bikes, rendering them unable to repair those.

Finally, a few customers advised to personally inspect the bike before and after purchase, as some issues can sometimes slip through the team’s eyes during pre-sale inspections.

Pros

  • Easy to find and navigate the location
  • Reasonable pricing
  • Wide variety of Honda products and bikes

Cons

  • Limited models of bikes supported for maintenance
  • Inspection of bikes may still be improved

Inspected and insured and they didn’t charge extra

“They uncrated the bike and got it ready for me. Cosmos put a dealer plate on it and rode it to the insurance office a few blks away so that I could get it inspected and insured and they didn’t charge extra for that.”

– Mr. Jerry Thomas, Google Review

A deal I could not pass up

“I mentioned I was in the market for a dual sport and they put numbers together for a deal I could not pass up! Once I got to the dealership Joel and Anthony were quick to get the process started and finished efficiently.”

– Mr. Dayton Raps, Google Review

Vancouver’s home to no shortage of bikers, and a number of them pointed us to Trev Deeley Motorsports. If you’re a Harley-Davidson ehnthusiast, this shop might just take up a pretty high spot on your list!

The dealership’s offerings feature both pre-owned and new, including a number of Harley-Davidson classics. The oldest one we found was a touring bike from 2000, so if you’re a fan of older bikes, try giving them a visit.

Of course, if you’re looking for a specific type of bike beyond the brand, they have quite the selection as well. We managed to spot everything from cruisers to sport bikes, as well as touring bikes for the adventure-seeker in all of us.

On our own visit, we got to chat with a couple of regulars. A few mentioned appreciating the customization options the dealership offered on certain bikes before purchase, allowing customers to add or swap out parts on request.

However, we were informed that these replacement parts didn’t come cheap. This might make it difficult to budget, just in case repairs are needed on your pre-owned bike after purchase.

While we were at the dealership, we also noticed the team taking longer to install and maintain bikes in-house, so we’d advise keeping your schedule open if booking repair services here.

Pros

  • Wide selection of Harley-Davidson motorcycles
  • Various bike types supported and sold
  • Good customization options before buying

Cons

  • High costs for replacement parts
  • Long service times

The sales process was fair and transparent

“Today, I purchased a used motorcycle after some back-and-forth over the past week. Carrie and Jason were incredibly helpful in finalizing the deal, ensuring I felt valued and well taken care of. The sales process was fair and transparent.”

– Mr. Joseph Hay, Google Review

Very friendly in all departments

“Great service, very friendly in all departments, will go out of their way to fill your needs whether you’re a new or a long time returning customer they will do their best to get you into your dream!”

– Mr. Zach Wilson, Google Review

For every motorcycle enthusiast, there’s a casual rider, and for both, there’s International Motorsports. If you’re looking for something a little more general, this shop’s selection of motorcycles, bicycles, and E-bikes might be more to your taste.

International Motorsports had an almost dizzying showroom featuring pre-owned motorcycles of all shapes and sizes. For their pre-owned motorcycles, we were able to find multiple classic brands like BMWs, Ducatis, and Hondas at reasonable costs!

Of course, another thing that caught our attention was their electric bikes and, well, bikes. Riders looking to get themselves a daily driver or one that’s not such a gas guzzler might want to check in here for options.

When chatting with regulars, quite a few also happily informed us that the dealership could sometimes source bikes and parts on request. If you don’t already find your dream bike here, we’d recommend consulting with the team to see if they can get it!

That being said, be prepared for a wait. Quite a few customers mentioned the long waiting times for delivery, especially for ordered parts.

This wait also extends to follow-up messages. Iif you’re purchasing a bike, we’d recommend hashing out all the details in person when you’re already in contact with the company.

Pros

  • Wide selection of e-bikes and sport bikes
  • Easy to navigate showrooms
  • Able to source parts and bikes on request
  • Reasonable costs

Cons

  • Difficulty following up on service
  • Long waiting time for parts and bike delivery

Tracked down some hard-to-find parts at amazing prices

“Huge shout-out to Matt in the Parts Department for absolutely fantastic service! Matt went the extra mile to help me out and tracked down some hard-to-find parts at amazing prices. You’ve definitely got my business, Matt and International Motorsports!”

– Mr. Andrew M., Google Review

Every interaction I’ve had was top notch

“I have been there a couple of times and I’ve spoken to one of the team members on the phone inquiring about bikes and every interaction I’ve had was top notch. The level of communication, service and their above and beyond moto impresses me.”

Now here’s one for the speed lovers. While we won’t encourage racing down the streets for obvious reasons, the bikes and gear at Holeshot Motorsports might just put you in the mood to! At least, that’s what locals told us when we asked about the dealership.

The range of pre-owned bikes at the dealership was pretty wide when we came to check it out. We noted that a large number of them were new models from 2020 onwards, making them handy for customers looking for modern bikes.

Their purchasing process was also praised by customers we spoke to, and it wasn’t hard to see why. Customers reported the dealership laying out the terms and conditions clearly, on top of handling documentation and maintenance for the bike.

Customers also praised the shop’s willingness to hold bikes up to a certain point. Those who are out of town or find themselves unavailable due to emergencies can still count on their dream bike being there when they come back!

On the other hand, a few customers did mention having to wait a while to be provided with quotations for their chosen bikes, parts, and services. We’d advise ordering early.

This wait also apparently extended to scheduled maintenance appointments and even the pick-up for the bike. We’d recommend keeping in touch with the team and confirming their schedule in these cases.

Pros

  • Clear and professional buying process
  • Can hold bikes on request
  • Reliable pre-sale bike maintenance and documentation

Cons

  • Long waiting time for quotations
  • Difficulty scheduling services and appointments

It’s always been a great experience

“My wife and I have picked up quite a few bikes from Holeshot Motorsports over the years, and it’s always been a great experience. The staff are super friendly and know their stuff—whether you’re buying or just browsing, they’re easy to talk to.”

– Mr. Jeff Olsen, Google Review

Communication throughout the process was clear and timely

“I had a great experience purchasing a pre-owned Z400.The communication throughout the process was clear and timely. They informed me about the bike’s availability and held it for two weeks with a fully refundable deposit while I was out of town.”

– Mr. Chim Xiao, Google Review
