Statues aren’t usually my thing. But when I wandered into Morton Park, those larger-than-life bronze figures laughing their heads off stopped me dead in my tracks.
I mean, who could resist joining in the fun with folks striking silly poses and grinning from ear to ear? Everyone’s snapping hilarious photos, and with the English Bay in the background, every shot was pure gold.
So if you’re ever in Vancouver, you’ve got to check out this quirky art installation called A-Maze-ing Laughter. Here’s everything you need to make the most of your visit.
Why should you visit A-Maze-ing Laughter?

A-Maze-ing Laughter is a must-visit because it is the most beloved sculpture of the 2009-2011 Vancouver Biennale exhibition and one of Vancouver’s most-photographed public artworks.
Each statue captures a different expression, but all are exaggerated. That’s why the laughter on their faces is contagious, inviting you to strike a pose, take a photo, and simply enjoy the playful vibes.
Because it’s such a fun spot for both locals and tourists, the installation also encourages interaction. It’s hard not to relax and be friendly around these happy statues.
