Crystal Falls is a 6-kilometer hike that leads you alongside the Upper Coquitlam River. The trail culminates at the picturesque Crystal Falls waterfall on Pritchett Creek.

Unfortunately, the Crystal Falls trail is currently closed due to its passage through private property, and trespassing is prohibited by law. It’s recommended to utilize the Coquitlam River Connector Trail if you’re heading in that direction.

Additionally, Bullet Dodger, an alternative route, is extremely steep and loose, with high-speed mountain bikers descending and limited visibility. Walking down this trail on foot would not be advisable.

How to Get to Crystal Falls 

Starting from the unmarked trailhead located on Karley Crescent, proceed into the forest. Descend down the short slope and follow the path as it parallels the Upper Coquitlam River. 

The trail will then dip down towards the river’s edge before ascending uphill again. Continue heading northward along the trail until you reach the falls.

The Crystal Falls Alternate Route is a 5.3 kilometer trail that winds through trees and rivers. We must warn you, it’s quite challenging.

The hike to the falls might be challenging with its steep terrain, but it’s absolutely worth every step. The energy emanating from the falls is simply marvelous.

Here’s a pro tip: push yourself to reach the end of the trail, where it levels out. This is where the magic truly happens, offering the best views of the falls.

Biking on the Bullet Dodger trail via Coquitlam River is a breeze for the most part, offering a pleasant trek through nature’s wonders. 

There are a couple of minor obstacles along the way, like small logs and crossing tiny streams, but nothing too challenging.
