Nestled on Broadway Street, the Bike Repair Centre has serviced bicycles for over two decades. In fact, they specialize in fixing bikes of all makes and models, which to us was pretty remarkable.
From wheels, brakes, gear adjustments, chain installations, and bottom bracket replacement. The Bike Repair Centre can do ’em all, but if you’d like the whole package, they offer a pretty thorough tune-up for $125.
We thought this was reasonable given that their “World Famous Tune-Up” includes a complete inspection and adjustment of all components, as well as a thorough cleaning and lubrication.
They’re also smack in the middle of a bunch of other bike joints, so it’s no surprise they do price matching. They’re also very transparent with their prices, which we appreciate.
Another thing that caught our attention was that they’re able to restore old bicycle models and bring them back to their former glory.
We’re just a bit iffy that they’re closed on Sundays and Mondays, as we feel that this limits their ability to serve customers who may have time off on those days.
Nevertheless, we think the Bike Repair Centre is one of the best bicycle repair shops in Vancouver. They’re able to repair all makes and models and offer a wide range of services.
Pros
- Specializes in all makes and models
- Can restore old bicycles
- Does price matching
Cons
- Closed on Sundays and Mondays

Another option is Repair and Run. This bicycle repair shop along 4th Ave. prides itself on its quick service, offering same-day repairs for bikes, e-bikes, and e-scooters.
We’re impressed that they handle almost all repairs within 24 hours, with 79% done in less than four days. Turns out, all their techs are trained in every type of bike, which totally explains the quick fixes.
It’s also very noteworthy that all their technicians have cargo bikes, so they can come to you for on-site repairs or pick up your bike for service.
Other than that, we were absolutely blown away that they’ve got over 200 different technical services to fully service any bike, e-bike, or e-scooter. We thought to ourselves that this makes them a one-stop repair shop.
In addition, we liked that they offer a 6-month warranty on parts and labor, as this serves as a testament to their confidence in the quality of their work. We also think this gives clients peace of mind about their investment.

You may have heard about Cycle City’s bike tours, but little did you know that this bike shop also offers pretty comprehensive bike repairs that come with free assessments.
First of all, we liked how they’re conveniently located on the Hornby bike path. We also appreciate that they have longer hours, as we think it makes them the go-to bike repair shop for anyone with a busy schedule.
Now, aside from the common bike repair services such as flat repairs, brake adjustments, and chain installations, Cycle City offers a bunch of repair packages for varying levels of bike maintenance.
These packages include tune-ups, gear adjustments, wheel truing, shifting adjustments, and bearing adjustments, among others.
We liked that they grouped services together in packages, as we think it provides convenience for customers who may need multiple repairs or adjustments.
However, we were a bit disappointed to know that they don’t do on-site repairs or bike pick-ups. Despite that, we liked that they carry a wide selection of bike parts, so you won’t have to wait for items to be available.
On a whole, we think Cycle City deserved a spot on our list, as they’ve conveniently grouped their services together to provide varying levels of repair and adjustment options for customers.
Pros
- Free bike assessments
- Various bike repair packages
- Wide selection of bike parts
Cons
- No on-site repairs or bike pick-ups

Run by Shaelen Morgan, Crank Culture in the Hastings-Sunrise neighborhood is a one-stop bike repair shop where Shaelen handles all the repairs.
With 30 years of experience with every kind of bike, what’s really unique is that he also hosts small classes to help his customers refresh their basic bike repair know-how.
From what we’ve seen, this shop’s repair services are quite basic, offering tune-ups, chain installations, and the usual. But what caught our attention is their bike overhaul service, which costs $450+.
Yes, it’s pricey. But we thought this was a unique and useful service to have for those looking to completely revamp their old bikes. The bike overhaul includes a complete disassembly, cleaning, and replacement of all worn-out parts.
Here at Crank Culture, they’ve also got a great selection of bike accessories on hand, and we appreciate the convenience of being able to purchase them while getting our bikes serviced.

Located at 1187 Parker Street, Kickstand is actually a volunteer-run bike shop in East Van. Here you’ll find affordable bicycles, parts and accessories, and repair and maintenance advice.
Volunteers at Kickstand provide mechanical support to customers who need help fixing their bikes. They offer guidance on everything from basic repairs to more complex issues like wheel truing and brake adjustments.
It’ll cost you around $1 to $15 to use their services and tools, which we thought was fair. Plus, you’ll also get to learn how to do repairs on your bike, so we think the price is definitely worth it.
We also thought it was sustainable that they accept used bikes, bike parts and accessories, tools, rags, and many more items that they can recycle and reuse for their repair services.

Furthermore, the majority of customers we spoke with expressed how helpful this bike shop is in helping cyclists improve their bike repair knowledge.
