Fifth & Fir Tile Shop is one of the go-to ceramic tile shops of restaurants and bar lounges across Vancouver because of its premium and customized tile options. They’re actually one of the ideal shops to reach out to if you’re not too design-savvy.
We actually learned about this ceramic shop from our neighbor’s kid who happens to be an architecture student. They normally source their materials here as the staff are really helpful in educating them more about the products.
When we visited their showroom, we immediately saw how accommodating they are to every client, even if we visited during peak hours. Not to mention, the shop looks like an art gallery, which tells us that there are a lot of tasteful options here.
Just make sure to plan your visit accordingly, as they’re not open on weekends.
What’s great about them is that they don’t just share installation tips, they will also make you a list of the tools that you need based on your renovation project.
It actually prevented us from buying the tools that we didn’t even need, allowing us to allot a part of our shopping budget elsewhere.
They also often give out samples. So if you only visited canvas designs and prices, we suggest taking all the samples that you can so you could match them to the current look of your space.

We got to know Centanni Tile since our friend couldn’t stop raving about their new ceramic kitchen tiles. So when it was our turn to renovate ours, we immediately knew who to call.
We loved going around their showroom. Aside from the cleanliness that was pretty evident even at the store’s facade, the aisles were very much organized, allowing us to appreciate the different colors and textures of our pre-selected tiles.
Because of this, we were able to select our top 10 ceramic tile designs just by walking around. And we didn’t even have to allot several hours to do that!
They also have different collections from different countries, which we haven’t seen elsewhere. They also look very elegant, so if you’re into basics, then we don’t think this shop is for you.
The best part is that they have those tiles in stock. So if you’re like us who needs to work on the renovation project right away, you’ll love it here too.
What we liked most about dealing with them is that Donny from Centanni Tile can personally deliver tile samples to your home. He wanted us to check the ceramic tile options under our own lighting, which left us really impressed.
Meanwhile, they also offer installation services, which is a huge plus if you don’t want to waste time looking for another contractor. Also, spoiler alert: Donny will stop by during installation just to check if everything is going smoothly.

For our bathroom renovation, we decided to go for Tile Outlet Vancouver, since we’ve been hearing about their name from different contractors and even homeowners around the block.
As soon as you walk in, you can expect the owners to greet you. You’ll even be asked if you like a cup of coffee even before you browse their showroom, which we think is a really thoughtful touch.
Here, you can enjoy choosing from their classic designs to the trendiest ones out there, making them a perfect choice for any kind of tile renovation project. They also offer friendly prices, so choosing their tiles would make us stick to our budget.
We loved how Ari, one of the owners of Tile Outlet, has been very passionate in helping us find the best ceramic tile options for our bathroom. He’s very hands-on that he even made sure the delivery will arrive on time.
We ended up needing more tiles as we decided to renovate the connecting closet, and we were even more surprised when Ari made sure to deliver the tiles in less than 24 hours.
However, we received a few warped tiles which delayed our installation for a few days. Nonetheless, you won’t have an issue in returning the damaged items as they have a 30-day return policy.

Here, Alvin from Tile Town will help you choose between different styles of ceramic tiles, depending on your preference. He even gave us multiple samples that we brought home, just to make sure we’re well guided throughout the selection process.
They also took the time to show the ceramic tiles under different lighting conditions, which really made us understand how these tiles can have various colorations.
For those who plan for a DIY application, you’ll love that these guys will give the best recommendations when it comes to tiles, adhesive types, and grout colors. You can even expect them to give you an installation strategy, perfect for first timers out there!
Our most favorite part was when their store manager purchased a few materials we needed from another store, and even delivered them straight to our doorstep on the same day!
They’re also very patient whenever we have questions even after we made the purchase. We also had to return a few unused tiles, and since we’re within the allowed 10-day period, we were able to return it hassle-free!

If you’re working on a very tight timeline, suppliers and shops that can accommodate requests under short notice are a total lifesaver, that’s why we’re blessed to have Vantile Tiles & Flooring around.
Even if it’s just a small shop, they can still provide several ceramic tiles and flooring selections, so don’t ever underestimate its size. Moreover, they offer them at very affordable rates, so they’re perfect for those who are working on a tight budget too.
During our office renovation project, we had to make several changes with our existing orders, but Sahar from Vantile still delivered. We even placed several rush orders, but they were confident enough that we could meet our target installation date.
If you need help when it comes to design, you’ll love that they have a great eye for that too. You can even expect them to color match the ceramic tiles with your existing materials or fixtures, such as your countertops and vanities.
You can also bring home real-size tile samples so you can check them against your walls or floors.
While the ceramic tiles were delivered on time, we still got a few broken ones, mauve due to mishandling during transportation.
But don’t worry, Vantile Tiles & Flooring will immediately process the reimbursement for you. Just make sure to order extra tiles in case you receive broken ones.
