The 5 Best Motorcycle Parts Shops in Vancouver to Get You Ready for the Riding Season

We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Facilities - Is the store kept clean and well-organized? Can you easily find the parts you need?

Motorcycle Parts

> Quality - Are the parts offered of high quality? Do they carry plenty of reliable brands?

> Variety - Do they have a wide variety of stock available? Can they provide something for both budget buyers and high-end enthusiasts alike?

Customer Service

> Professionalism - Do they manage their lines well during busier times? Are they polite and friendly towards visitors and customers?

It’s no secret that I like motorcycles, and why wouldn’t I? They’re smaller than cars and can get me from Point A to Point B while looking stylish on top of that. But while stock bikes look good on their own, did you know there are more ways of personalizing them?

One way to do so would be through part swapping and aftermarket parts. The possibilities are endless, whether you’re starting small with swapping out your levers with colored ones or doing full performance upgrades.

Lucky for us riders, Vancouver’s got no shortage of motorcycle parts shops for just about any upgrade under the sun.

To save you on a long drive of your own, my team and I have rounded up some of our favorites to browse from just before the riding season.

How much does it cost to buy motorcycle parts in Vancouver?

Buying motorcycle parts in Vancouver can cost you anywhere from $25 to $630. The final price depends on the make, model, and year of your bike, as well as the type of parts being bought.

We’d be pretty remiss not to mention Modern Motorcyling when it comes to motorcycle parts in Vancouver. The shop’s been a hotspot for local riders looking for gear and parts, especially in Commercial Drive.

The shop was small but cozy on our own visit, making it easy to browse through their offerings. These offerings ranged from fluids such as engine oil and coolant to a large selection of motorcycle gear, including helmets and suits.

A highlight for us was being able to try on and check out gear at the store physically, so you won’t have to worry about something not fitting once you buy it.

That being said, the prices for the parts we noticed were pretty reasonable, so you don’t have to break the bank just yet!

On the other hand, you might still have to spend a pretty penny if you choose to have your parts fitted and installed by the team. The regulars we talked to, though, said the prices are justified given the reliability of the installations.

Finally, a few customers also mentioned some difficulties with tracking the status of ordered parts from the shop. We’d recommend keeping in touch with the staff and following up regularly to estimate when your parts will arrive.

Pros

  • Reasonable prices for products
  • Wide range of riding gear
  • Reliable bike upgrade and installation services

Cons

  • Higher costs for upgrade and repair services
  • Difficulty tracking ordered parts

I should have started here when shopping for gear

“Here it’s like hanging out with the boys. They are approachable, give you advice, no pressure and go above and beyond to help. I should have started here when shopping for gear.”

– Mr. Garry Lee, Google Review

Good quality parts and great service

“Brought my bike in for a drivetrain refresh, and took the opportunity to update my sprockets. They didn’t try to upsell or convince me of anything other than wanting to help with my interest in my bike. Good quality parts and great service.”

– Mr. Jacke Calthon, Google Review

If you’re the owner of a dual-sport motorcycle, there’s a good chance you might have already heard of Bushpig Performance. The shop was recommended to us by adventure bikers in Vancouver, and for a pretty good reason.

As their name implies, Bushpig’s offerings largely consisted of performance parts for a variety of dual-sport motorcycle models. They had everything from storage solutions to complete engine and drivetrain parts.

One factor pointed out to us by the shop’s regulars was their delivery services. Many reported these to be pretty quick and timely, with parts arriving just a few days after ordering and well-packaged, too.

We got curious about what happens if errors happen during delivery, so we asked. Most clients were happy to report that the after-sales service at the store was reliable, with staff quickly reordering replacement parts as needed.

That said, a few customers also cited cases where the shop canceled orders with minimal notice if they couldn’t be fulfilled. We’d recommend double-checking a part’s availability with the shop before ordering.

Finally, we’d also recommend keeping a budget in mind when ordering multiple parts. The prices at the shop are reasonable, but the minimum purchase required to qualify for free delivery is quite high.

Pros

  • Quick delivery times
  • Plenty of parts for dual-sports motorcycles
  • Reliable after-sales service
  • Reasonable prices for parts

Cons

  • High minimum purchase price for free delivery
  • Orders may get cancelled with minimal notice

Bushpig Performance was offering a good solution

“Bushpig Performance was offering a good solution and I ordered it, expecting a looong wait. Between my ordering and receiving the part from Canada to the Netherlands took only 9 days!”

– Mr. Jan Willem Dogger, Google Review

Delivered quickly and with the correct product

“Great shop! Every order I’ve made with them has been delivered quickly and with the correct product. I will continue to give them my business moving forward! 10/10 online shopping experience with Bushpig Performance.”

– Mr. Eric Newnham, Google Review

Bayside Performance Inc. landed on our radar after locals praised the shop’s delivery services and inventory. It wasn’t hard to see why.

On our own visit, we found the shop space clean and clutter-free, making it easy to browse parts. Items were categorized neatly according to use, whether you’re looking for parts for offroading or for street use, and more.

While at the store, we also heard about the shop’s willingness to source international parts on request. This service was praised by a number of the regulars we managed to chat with, who said it saved them the hassle of checking out other shops.

Regulars also praised the speed of their deliveries, with parts arriving quickly and in safe packaging. This makes the shop handy to keep in mind if you have a bike that needs emergency repairs.

On the other hand, a few customers mentioned checking the parts thoroughly after receiving them. Some encountered parts that were mismeasured and could not fit on their bikes as intended.

Regulars also recommended clarifying both the shop’s policy and the manufacturer’s warranty on the product, just in case you find an error with your order.

Pros

  • Can source parts internationally on request
  • Timely delivery services
  • Easy to navigate store layout

Cons

  • Inaccurante measurements and fitments of parts
  • Difficulty claiming warranty on parts

Whole experience here was smooth and friendly

“Kevin and John were great to deal with and my whole experience here was smooth and friendly. They weren’t pushy or abrupt. I explained my situation to them and the whole thing was very easy.”

– Mr. Amarjeet Sandhu, Google Review

They carry so many items I need

“They carry so many items I need – often things I can’t find anywhere else – and their shipping rates to Hawaii are totally fair. Always quick to respond, and everything arrives on time and well-packed.”

– Ms. Sara Kam, Google Review

Motorcycle riding isn’t an easy hobby by any means, and motorcycle modding is even more so. With that in mind, we asked locals for their suggestions on beginner-friendly parts shops, and Motostarz was a common name!

We decided to drop by to see the fuss for ourselves, and we were pleasantly surprised. The shop had a wide range of aftermarket parts for street and sports bikes alike, whether it be custom mirrors and levers or engine and exhaust kits.

That wide inventory was almost intimidating, but luckily for us, the staff was ready to help make recommendations. Customers seemed to appreciate this, noting that staff kept their budget and the estimated delivery time in mind.

You won’t even need to worry about getting your parts installed elsewhere. A few customers let us know about the shop’s quick turnaround time on installation, saving several rookie riders the initial stress of installing mods themselves!

However, deliveries for parts are notably slower. Customers noted the longer delivery times for parts, especially when ordered online, so we’d recommend paying the store a physical visit for yourself.

Lastly, we’d also recommend reaching out to the company through their online support or through a visit, as we noted longer response times over the phone.

Pros

  • Quick installation times for ordered parts
  • Wide range of aftermarket parts and accessories
  • Reliable staff recommendations

Cons

  • Longer delivery times
  • Difficulty contacting the company by phone

Genuine, high-quality parts

“I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment for aftermarket accessories, as they offer genuine, high-quality parts. Looking forward to order more accessories in future. Thank you Jack and Jun!!!”

– Mr. Simran Gill, Google Review

Made sure everything was set

“I asked him to pull up a photo of my bike and give me his personal recommendation, and he did it on the spot. Jack immediately swapped my order, updated the shipping, and made sure everything was set before we ended the call.”

– Mr. Philip Pieczko, Google Review

Are you the proud owner of a Honda? Then Carter Motorsports might just be up your alley. Known among locals for their support for Honda bikes and other known brands like KTM, enthusiasts and newbies alike pointed us their way in our search for parts.

The first thing we noticed was how easy it was to find the shop. We didn’t have to search long and hard at all, even for parking. Considering the size and weight of some motorcycle parts, easy parking to carry them home is a godsend.

Their parts spanned various Honda models, from dual-sport and touring bikes to scooters and ATVs. Talk about range!

The team was also refreshingly responsive, both over the phone and at the shop itself. They were easily able to fill us in on their available parts and supported models.

That said, the staff let us know they didn’t typically stock parts or offer services for vintage or older bikes. As a result, owners of older bikes might not be able to avail themselves of their repair and installation services.

Lastly, customers we spoke to advised clarifying their prices for both parts and services once you’ve ordered your parts. Some experienced sudden changes in the shop’s quotations.

Pros

  • Easy location of the shop
  • Robust support and stock for Honda bikes
  • Responsive customer service

Cons

  • Quoted prices may fluctuate
  • Limited stock of parts for vintage bikes and older models

There was no pressure sales

“I am extremely pleased in my latest acquisition as I walked out with a new handcrafted Arai helmet and AlpineStars Drystar gloves. I had a very pleasant experience at Carter Motorsports as there was no pressure sales.”

– Mr. Alan Uyeno, Google Review

Service was efficient and thorough

“When I took my bike in for a tune-up the service was efficient and thorough. Corey was particularly helpful and informative, ensuring my bike was road safe and ready for the riding season.”

– Ms. Janice MacLean, Google Review
