Market Schedule: Sunday: 10am to 2pm

If you’re looking for a farmers market that strikes the perfect balance—not as overwhelming as a bustling New York crowd but far from a two-stand setup—this is the spot.

It’s just the right mix of size, crowd, food, and fun. Held in Connaught Park, in the heart of Vancouver’s Kitsilano neighborhood, this market offers a warm, community vibe.

The selection of organic vegetables is truly impressive, making it a must-visit for health-conscious foodies and those who love to support local farmers.

With around 25 to 30 vendors, you’ll find a great variety of fresh produce, specialty food items, baked goods, and even wine and beer. There are also food trucks, adding to the mix of samples and products.

Live music enhances the experience, and it’s a great place to bring your dogs, adding to the overall sense of community. You can taste plenty of things as you wander through.

Pro tip:

Parking is limited, but there are a few side streets where you can park and walk from. The location is also easily accessible by public transit.

The weekly rotation of vendors at Riley Park Farmers Market keeps things fresh and exciting. Despite being smaller, the market feels less cramped because everything is spread out—whether that’s a good or bad thing depends on your preference.

This setup also allows sellers to better showcase and promote their products without the constant noise of everyone competing for attention.

Some unique finds at Riley Park include foraged wild greens, bolete mushrooms, soft sourdough rye, an array of organic local garlic varieties, and authentic Indian chai concentrate to make chai at home.

The market is lively, with plenty of foot traffic, kids, and dogs, all contributing to a hipster vibe. A live band on the east side adds to the atmosphere. With lots of snack options and a couple of coffee spots, it’s the perfect place to go with an empty belly.

You can start with some fresh coffee or hot chocolate, maybe a pastry, and finish off with a nice meal!
