Things to Know
Parking: While the parking area can accommodate up to 500 vehicles, it tends to fill up quickly during peak periods, leaving limited availability. At the time of writing, the parking fee is CAD 5.50 per day.
Operating hours: White Pine Beach welcomes visitors from early morning to dusk between May and September. The beach’s accessibility may vary depending on the weather during other times of the year.
Dogs: If you’re coming to White Pine Beach with a dog, remember to keep them on a leash. The playground and swimming area are also off-limits to dogs.
Swimming: You are welcome to swim in the pristine waters of Sasamat Lake at White Pine Beach. Note however that there are no lifeguards on duty, so exercise caution and be responsible for your safety while enjoying the lake.
Best Time to Go
The best time to visit White Pine Beach is during the summer months, from June to August, when the weather is warm and ideal for swimming, sunbathing, and picnicking.

How to Get There
Car: From Vancouver, take Highway 1 (Trans-Canada Highway) eastbound, then follow signs to exit onto Barnet Highway (BC-7A) toward Port Moody. Continue on Barnet Highway, and it will lead you to White Pine Beach at Sasamat Lake.
Train: There is no direct train service to White Pine Beach. However, you can take the Millenium Line to Moody Centre Station in Port Moody and then transfer to a bus to reach the beach.
Bus: You can take #182 Belcarra from NB Ioco Road @ Newport Drive, Moody Centre Station @ Bay 8, or NB Heritage Mountain Boulevard @ 1200 Block.
Taxi: Taxis are readily available in Vancouver, and you can easily hire one to take you directly to White Pine Beach at Sasamat Lake.
Bike: For a more adventurous approach, you can bike to White Pine Beach by following cycling routes and the Barnet Highway (BC-7A) from Vancouver to Port Moody, providing a scenic journey to the beach.
