After two years of ignoring cracks on our driveway, we finally decided to contact Vancouver Safety Surfacing for a new asphalt pavement.

Last summer, we decided to have a new asphalt pavement installed in our family home’s driveway.

Since we were working closely with the procurement team in our office, we knew that they were searching for the best asphalt paving contractors from a bunch of options. After checking out different portfolios, they finally decided to go for Burnaby Blacktop.
The commercial space has a large driveway heading to the lobby, and we initially thought that this renovation project would be disruptive to us who come and go daily.
But we were so happy that we didn’t even notice them from 9 to 5. So if you’re planning to have a renovation on a high traffic area, just give it a go, as this won’t ever be an issue once they start working.
Aside from safety mats and protective barriers, their tradesmen know how to organize their equipment, which can keep you away from danger.
However, their equipment could be a little loud. So, if your space has poor acoustics or if your office is located near the worksite, then be prepared to be disrupted by the noise.
You can also expect them to call you for a follow-up, which we think shows that they really care about their work. That’s why our office didn’t hesitate to contact them for maintenance and repairs for our parking lot too.

Our backyard was the most used part in our home, and just the idea of not using it for weeks already scares us because, for one, where will our dogs go when they need to pee, and two, my kids will bother us all day!
You know how sometimes contractors take forever to get started, but well, not the guys from Kingsway Paving. They came an hour early than our scheduled appointment, took all their tools inside, and started dividing work among themselves.
We saw how they carefully ripped out our old asphalt, starting with the portions with bigger cracks. It’s great that they have lots of sacks around, ensuring that they dispose of the old asphalts and rocks well, so we didn’t have to do it ourselves.
After removing everything, we noticed that they made sure that the ground was properly leveled before laying the fresh asphalt. We’ve noticed that they’re pretty meticulous with this step; they even have a heavy-duty roller tool to ensure that the base is smooth.
The only downside is that we think you won’t be able to get them at the last minute. You can expect them to be booked for weeks and sometimes even for months.
But we’ve seen them work. And if you really want to have a great looking asphalt pavement that could look so well after many years, believe us, they’re worth the wait!
