Music Selection: We checked if the dance clubs offer a good mix of different genres such as R&B, house, and hip-hop.
Dance Floor Size: We considered whether there's ample space for customers to dance throughout the night.
Lights and Sounds: We ensured these dance clubs have a suitable lighting setup. Plus points for those with upgraded sound systems, those that are loud enough, but not damaging to your eardrums.
Special Themes: We considered dance clubs that invite guest DJs during themed nights, offering a unique experience for the audience.
We didn’t really get why some people would trade their comfy beds for sweaty nights on the dance floor until we tried it ourselves. We decided to have a joint birthday celebration, and even swore we’d be home by midnight (yes, Cinderella-style!).
Spoiler alert: it was the first time in years that we were able to catch the sunrise (not sober, this time!). Yes, Vancouver truly has some of the best dance clubs in the city. Those who won’t let you leave even if your feet already hurt from standing all night long!
So, for your next party, make sure to check out these best dance clubs we have around. Here’s a list we made for you, so you won’t have to!
How much do dance club entrance fees cost in Vancouver?
Dance club entrance fees in Vancouver typically cost around $10 to $20. Meanwhile, drinks can start at $8, while a coat check may cost between $2 and $5.

What we liked most about The Roxy Cabaret is that they don’t stick to just one genre. This includes country music and pop & rock hits from 1995 to 2010.
They’re also open seven days a week, so just pick your most convenient day to party.
Aside from the great mixes from different DJs, bands would also come in to play live music. However, we’ve heard that they’re more ideal for the millennial crowd, so it’s better to check the dance club’s schedule if you’re not a fan of live bands.
You can also take advantage of their big dance floor, which is a good area to meet new people. But if you just want to be within your circle, you’ll love that the tables have enough spaces in between for you to dance without leaving your spot.
And for the ladies out there, here’s some great news: this dance club is known for putting lots of effort into keeping all the women safe. The bouncers are always on high alert, especially if they spot some suspicious individuals.
Just take note that the crowd would usually arrive around 10 in the evening, so if you want a better spot inside the club, make sure to arrive at least an hour earlier.
Pros
- Wide variety of music
- Open seven days a week
- Offers a big dance floor
- Spacious table setup
- Strong security with attentive bouncers
Cons
- Can get crowded around 10 in the evening
- More ideal for the millennial crowd
Bartenders are very respectful
“High energy, great atmosphere, efficient & respectful bartenders. I usually go there by myself and I feel completely safe in there. The bouncers and security are quick & responsive. They really take good care of the people and their establishment. Drinks are very reasonably priced. And the band, love their energy! I can tell the band is enjoying themselves on stage and that gives out good vibes!”

Considerate of people with mobility issues
“They were very considerate of my friend who is disabled. They cleared the way multiple times and made sure she was good to move around well. Also I’ve had good experiences with the staff and safety. Even tho I’ve had some problems (aka the club seance ) they have always been attentive and work hard to fix issues I’ve had. Love you Roxy thank you keep being awesome”

If you’re a fan of electronic and hip-hop music, then Red Room should be at the top of your list. While they occasionally invite live bands, a great sound system is also a bonus when visiting dance clubs.
And while this club has been in operation for more than 40 years, they have made sure to upgrade it (you’ll surely love the bass!).
In fact, they’re known for having the first state-of-the-art PK sound system in Vancouver—the one that’s typically used for sound reinforcement during concerts and festivals.
Another thing that’s special about this dance club is that they usually invite touring DJs from other cities and countries. So expect a larger crowd whenever they do.
But don’t worry, the venue has an open floor plan, which means every corner is your designated dance floor. And if you want to be closer to the DJ or the band, make sure to arrive early so you can enter first.
The downside? This dance club is only open on Fridays and Saturdays, so if you’re planning to party on a weeknight, you won’t get lucky here.
And when you’re here at the Red Room, you can actually just head to the water filling machine near the bathroom so you can have your tumbler or cup topped up all night.
Pros
- Great for electronic and hip-hop fans
- Occasionally hosts live bands
- Upgraded venue with powerful bass
- First state-of-the-art PK sound system in Vancouver
- Open floor plan
- Offers free water refill station
Cons
- Only open on Fridays and Saturdays
- Prices for drinks are quite steep
Great selection of drinks
“We had a great night there. Everything was in order and organized. Didn’t see any disrespectful behaviour from both the staff or the guests. Music was awesome with the best sound quality. Drinks were amazing. Will definitely come back.”
– Mehdi sh, Google Review
Has a friendly crowd
“As a non-clubber, Red Room was a place I walked by for years, convinced that I’d never have a good time in there. Finally got dragged to it by friends and I had the best time. It’s a friendly crowd, the venue sounds good, and if it ever gets overwhelming, there’s a lot of people in the back alley having a different kinda party! They also have officers around the club who monitor the party making sure everyone is safe and everything is consensual. Highly recommend!!!”

Celebrities Nightclub isn’t just here to let you dance to your favorite music; their light show is a feast for your eyes too. Here, the entire place is lit up with neon lights. Even the tables and a few chairs have these lights on.
They mostly play electronic and house music here, so if these beats get you groovin’, then it’s the dance club for you.
It’s also easy for you to be on the guest list, which grants you priority access. Just head to their website and choose the event you’re planning to go to. It’s also where you can secure tickets for their special events.
If you want to party in style, you can also take advantage of this dance club’s upscale bottle service and private VIP booth.
The staff here is pretty accommodating, especially if you lose your valuables (fingers crossed that you don’t get to experience this, though!). One of our friends misplaced his phone, but the office-in-charge and a bouncer helped us locate it right away.
And for those of you who need to be in bed by 10 in the evening, this dance club also introduced its daytime clubbing. Just make sure to check their schedule as they don’t offer this on a regular basis.
Pros
- Very accommodating staff
- Plays electronic and house music
- Offers priority access
- Easy guest list sign-up online
- Upscale bottle service and VIP booths
Cons
- Daytime clubbing not offered regularly
Service is on point
“Celebrating my wife’s birthday at Celebrities NightClub elevated the night to a whole new level of fabulous! 💃💫 Splurging over a grand on a table not only got us the VIP treatment but also turned the evening into a birthday bash fit for a queen. The music was banging, the service was on point, and the Saturday night crowd added that extra dash of spice to the celebration. Celebrities NightClub, you made my wife’s birthday one for the books – a night of glitz, glamour, and unforgettable memories! 🎂🎉🥳”

Reasonably priced
“Great institution. I lost my phone here and not only did they keep it, they went above and beyond to charge it for me. Music bumps and drink prices are reasonable too”

Bar None Nightclub can really draw a pretty wild crowd, so be prepared to dance the night away while you’re here. The place reminds us of a gentleman’s club or a cigar lounge because of the rustic brick ambiance, but everyone’s welcome here.
Meanwhile, Friday nights here aren’t too lively. So that’s probably great news for you if you don’t want to get too tired on the dance floor.
What we liked most about this dance club is that the music isn’t too loud. We still get to dance and talk to our friends without shouting in each other’s ears.
It’s also relatively easy to secure a table, even on a weekend. But don’t take chances, and be sure to call ahead to reserve a table.
Another thing that we like about this dance club is that their bottle girls and bartenders are very accommodating. They ensured that the bottles arrived on time, and they’re so attentive that they’re always ready to take our orders upon our call.
However, they’re pretty strict with their entry requirements. So, remind your friends to bring two sets of government identification cards before going to this dance club.
Pros
- Wild, energetic crowd
- Lounge-like ambiance
- Easy to secure a table
- Attentive bottle girls and bartenders
- Music not too loud
Cons
- Fridays can feel less lively
- Strict entry rules
Impressive hospitality
“Had an amazing night at barnone. I have been a frequent customer of barnone and I have to say everytime I am impressed. I thank management and staff for a welcome environment and great service. Sym at the bar is awesome … Thank you for your hospitality.

Mansion Nightclub is one of the most popular dance clubs in Vancouver among the younger crowd. It’s also where celebrities hold their after-parties, such as those of Timbaland and Nelly.
So if you’re planning to go here, expect the place to be filled with some high energy. Apart from the lively music, the young ones will really show you how to party.
Aside from the celebrities and artists, you can also casually bump into athletes and models here. That explains the luxurious vibe you’ll feel upon entering the club.
When it comes to hospitality, we honestly felt like VIPs throughout the night. The waiters ensured that our drinks arrived on time, checking in regularly without being too intrusive.
They’re also game for a quick, friendly conversation, which added to the welcoming vibe here at Mansion.
However, we found the place so dark that we could hardly see anything. There was also too much mist around the place, which was a bit annoying.
Additionally, this dance club is only open on Fridays and Saturdays, so if you’re planning to buss it down on a weeknight, then you should head elsewhere.
But to stay updated on their upcoming events, consider following their social media pages. You can easily make a reservation on their website too.
Pros
- Popular among young crowds
- Celebrity after-parties and big-name performances
- Chance to bump into athletes and models
- Luxurious vibe
- Friendly and attentive staff
- Easy reservations online
Cons
- Open only on weekends
- Too dark inside
Sophisticated dance club
“The crowd was amazing. Had a wonderful time. The Latino music was perfect for the Saturday night. Everything very well maintained and sophisticated. If you are into high end party place, this is perfect for you.”

Great place for hip-hop music
“Great place to go on a night out! Music was awesome on a Saturday, primarily Hip Hop. It gets very busy which makes it a lot of fun! For the best experience, ask for Nolan. He is a lot of fun and makes you feel right at home! Definitely recommend this spot for a great night out with great service!”

FAQs about Dance Clubs in Vancouver
A dance club, also widely known as a nightclub, is a club or establishment that is open at night. It’s a go-to place for people who are down for some drinking and dancing. Expect to see a dance floor, laser light displays, and a stage for live music or a DJ.
When you’re heading to a dance or nightclub, you should avoid wearing too casual outfits such as athletic wear, sweatpants, and even flip-flops. Several dance clubs follow smart casual or a trendy dress code.
Some of the dance clubs in Vancouver typically require a minimum spend to reserve a seat or a lounge. VIP sections may even cost more.
You may consider arriving before 10:00 PM, especially on weekends, to reduce your waiting time outside.
