Since we’re too busy with the kids’ school and work here and there, we originally planned to just buy a prefabricated shed from a store.

Since my wife and I started to work from home more often, we thought building a shed would be an ideal route for us. After all, our existing storage room needs to breathe too.

When we told them about our requirements, we were surprised when they invited us to visit their former client who has a similar shed. We decided to give it a go so we could inspect it closely and see how it looks when it’s in use.

Sheds aren’t just for garden tools and bikes, they’re for people too! Well, at least, that’s what Novella Outdoors is here for. This isn’t your basic storage solution, it’s definitely something that you see from a design series on TV.
You can use their sheds as your studio, office, a bunkhouse, or even a workout room. You also don’t have to worry about installing the lights, as they’ll have natural and designer lighting ready for you.
Additionally, you don’t have to worry about getting cold during winter as all their sheds have thermal control settings all year-round.
What’s great about them is that they really have a meticulous process in preparing the site. On the first day, you can expect their crew to dig the area with the proper depth, add a gravel base, and drill a strong rebar to ensure stability.
The next day, we loved that they stayed beyond their usual hours just to ensure that the concrete had been mixed and poured well. You can’t expect them to finish installing in one day, so if you want something fast, they’re not the best option for that.
It’s also worth noting that there could be occasional delivery delays. It took them almost two weeks before they sourced out the railings.
Nonetheless, we still appreciated that they informed us about the progress and the delivery status. We were even surprised that their operations manager visited us at home, just to clean up the site himself.

There’s this unused space between our garage and our fence—a space that eventually became our temporary home for brooms and paint buckets. For over five years, that spot became a storage for all random things.

Being general contractors, they were able to inspect the area and come up with a design that will turn that unutilized space to a functional one. From there, they were able to build a shed that functioned as an extra storage and a workspace.
Yes, we were surprised that they were able to squeeze in a small work surface, with added shelves too!
Another thing that we liked about them is that they’re always just a phone call away. They’re always ready to answer our questions, even if we call them at night.

If you’re looking for a basic shed that doesn’t require concrete foundation, then Super Sheds is the right one for you. Because of its ease of installation, you’ll have your shed ready within 24 hours of planning it!
Just take note that their basic sheds only come with 2×4 materials, so if you want thicker floors and walls, you need to be ready for an upgrade. Nonetheless, they can still accommodate that request, so no need to find it elsewhere!
But don’t let it stop you from going for customized ones. They can also create a fully functional shed—one that doubles as your workshop too.
However, we feel like their designs were a bit stiff. So if you’re looking for a premium-looking modern design, then it would be a little challenging to get it here.
You can still choose whatever color you want for the shed, which we think is a fair trade-off.
Meanwhile, they’re one of the most affordable shed builders out there. So if you want to save up a few bucks, here’s your chance to do so.
You also don’t need to worry about the city inspections and building codes. John from Super Sheds will make sure that they meet the regulations, and that inspections are scheduled timely.
