These 5 Shops Always Have the Best Furnace Filters in Vancouver in Stock

We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Filter Quality: We chose companies offering durable furnace filters with proven filtration performance. Those with filters using certified materials ranked higher.

Compatibility and Availability: We focused on providers with a wide range of standard and custom sizes of furnace filters. We also checked if they have local inventory and fast delivery options.

Cost: We considered the upfront cost and long-term value based on the lifespan of the filter. Those that balance performance with affordability were prioritised.

Provider Reliability and Support: We picked a reliable and reputable provider, preferably one with clear product specifications and responsive customer service.

When it comes to maintaining a comfortable and healthy indoor air, furnace filters are a must, especially when you have pets who shed like it’s their full-time job.

After getting my golden retriever, I quickly learned the importance of having extra furnace filters on hand for those routine replacements. But when I started looking for good ones, the options were either overpriced or out of stock.

That’s when I asked my Best in Vancouver team to help with the search. We asked around and even visited some stores ourselves to find furnace filter shops in Vancouver that we can always rely on.

Here are the ones we found that offer a great variety at reasonable prices.

How much does a furnace filter cost in Vancouver?

A furnace filter in Vancouver may cost from $10 to $30, depending on the size and Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value (MERV) rating. Some shops also offer multi-packs, which may cost from $75 to $140, depending on the number of filters.

Canadian Tire is a reputable retailer that sells a wide range of products, including tools, automotive products, and outdoor living products. It has multiple branches across Vancouver, making it a convenient option for shoppers.

When it comes to furnace filters, we love how wide their selection is. They have filters from trusted brands, like Filtrete, NOMA, and Air-Care.

This variety gives customers the flexibility to choose based on their specific needs, whether it’s allergy protection or general dust filtration.

We also like that most of their furnace filters are consistently in stock, which makes the shop a reliable go-to for those who need replacements right away.

The flexibility to shop in-store and online also adds convenience. Customers we talked to said that deliveries are typically prompt and well-handled, so you don’t have to worry about receiving broken filters.

However, since this shop carries a wide array of home and hardware products, it can be challenging to find the furnace filters without assistance. We recommend asking for staff guidance to make sure you get the right product quickly.

  • Good product availability
  • Online store available
  • Reliable delivery service

Great store

“We visit Canadian Tire mostly for auto detailing products and gardening equipment. It’s always so well stocked, and the staff are helpful with not simply directing us to what we want but actually leading us there. What is most impressive, though, is the variety of products. It’s almost one-stop shopping.  Kitchenware, household cleaning, light bulbs, hardware, and so on. I guess, because it’s Canadian, we’re visiting the store far more frequently than ever before.”

– Mr. Geoff G., Google Review

Cool store

“Has to check it out, as it was much more than the name leads you to believe. They have a deep and wide variety of items from  aisles and aisles of camping gear to electronics and upstairs was almost all Christmas decorations.  Very cool store”

The store has an impressive selection of furnace filter brands. We were able to find trusted brands like Filtrete, Valu+, and Web. They also have pleated allergen reduction filters and washable options.
