Best Time to Go
The best time to go to Vanier Park is from March to May and from September to November, when the weather is mild. This way, you can enjoy outdoor activities such as picnicking, walking along the footpath, and visiting the nearby museums.
Things to Know
Parking
The good news is there are heaps of parking spots around Vanier Park. You can easily stroll over to cool spots like the Vancouver Maritime Museum and the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre.
The primo parking spot is on this sneaky little road just east of the Planetarium, right alongside the Burrard Street Bridge. Usually, there’s plenty of space there, at least until summer hits.
Facilities
This spot by the ocean is a gem! You’ve got peaceful ponds, wide-open fields, a bike track, and a lovely pathway that just adds to the whole waterfront vibe.
Oh, and don’t miss the flush toilet washroom near the parking lot by the seawall paths. And hey, if you need a breather or a spot to feed, there are a couple of benches along the seawall that’ll do just fine.
Plus, there’s a ramp for launching small boats and a public marina nearby. And hey, don’t forget the Vancouver Museum and Planetarium and the City of Vancouver Archives.
How to Get to Vanier Park
By car: Head down Howe Street and turn right onto Davie Street. After that, take a left onto Burrard Street and then a right onto Cornwall Avenue. Next, make a right onto Cypress Street.
When you hit the roundabout, take the first exit onto Creelman Avenue. After that, turn left onto Chestnut Street and then make a right onto Whyte Avenue. Finally, take a left into Vanier Park.
By public transit: hop on bus #2 or #22 from multiple locations along Burrard and exit bus at stop #50101, westbound at Cornwall and Cypress. Then, walk north on Cypress and take a right at Whyte.

What really sets them apart is their customization options for toppings. We went all out and loaded ours with pickles and banana peppers, creating a flavor explosion. We opted for the G-Money Burger, and it was massive and absolutely delicious.

But let’s talk about those tacos—they’re truly outstanding. Every bite is packed with flavor that’ll leave you craving more. The slow-roasted beef is incredibly tender and juicy, and best paired with the fresh, handmade tortillas.
