While Pavel builds all of their camper vans, Lucie has worked in the hospitality and customer service industries for many years, so they decided to start this business together.

We immediately found it impressive that they have various camper vans that vary in capacity, amenities, add-ons, and many more. In addition, we particularly liked that all of their camper vans are newly built and regularly maintained.

In our opinion, this gives customers peace of mind that all their vehicles are dependable and safe to drive.

We also appreciate how they provide clients with a detailed description of their camper vans, as we think this allows them to make an informed decision on which vehicle fits their needs.

For those who don’t like driving in a big camper can, we recommend you rent the Camper Pilot, their newest project. We think this camper van is ideal for couples looking to go camping in a compact but fully-equipped vehicle.

That said, we want to mention that this company requires a damage deposit of CAD 1,500 to be paid 14 days before the rental. They also charge an additional fee for the vehicle to be delivered to you.

“This was our very first time renting a camper van and we had the most amazing experience! We traveled with Simona (van) for 6 days (5 nights) in May with our 10 month old son and dog. The carpentry / design of the van is exquisite and the organization / storage is superb! The fridge had enough space for a weeks worth of food, and we had plenty of fresh water provided. The power unit was especially impressive. They have three camper van rentals: the Volkswagen Westfalia, Mercedes Metris, and the Mercedes Sprinter. We appreciate that these vans are regularly maintained and checked.

We also liked how this establishment values safety as they provide contactless pick-up and drop-off for customers.

This company provides clients with a video link with an overview of how to use the camper vans. Once you’re done, simply drop off the camper vans in their office, and they’ll take care of the rest.

Honest Camper provides three types of insurance packages. We highly recommend their ‘peace of mind’ package as this covers up to CAD 5 million in liability insurance. 

Now, we were a bit disappointed that they charge an additional fee for airport pick-ups. Take note that Honest Camper also requires a 50% deposit to hold your reservations.

Even so, we liked that they provide discounts for long rentals, so there’s an incentive there. We also liked that their camper vans have backup cameras, which provide customers with a better view of the area behind the vehicle when backing up.

Get a Van is a van rental company in Vancouver founded by two couples starting their own family business.

One of our favorite aspects of this company is that all their vehicles are equipped with all-weather tires, making them suitable for driving in any terrain and weather condition.

Furthermore, we liked that all of their vehicles include a backup camera for your safety and convenience when parking.

However, we were dissatisfied that they only have three camper vans available for rent. Even so, we appreciate that they offer a more personalized van rental experience because they have converted their camper vans themselves.

We highly suggest you head to their website and check out their video timelapse on how they assembled their first camper van. In our opinion, we think this is especially useful so clients can have a glimpse of their process. 

We want to mention that they require a 50% reservation deposit to secure your slot. Even so, we liked that they no longer charge damage deposits as they have a contract for additional expenses.

As for insurance options, Get a Van offers three insurance options which include Zero, Essential, and International. These packages vary depending on coverage and insurance claims. 

Unfortunately, they don’t offer any type of glass/windshield/window coverage options, but they are looking to have these added soon. 

Overall, we believe that Get a Van offers one of the best van rentals in Vancouver as they provide a more tailored van rental experience.

Karma Campervans is open 24 hours a day to accommodate many customers, providing easy-to-drive and comfortable camper vans.

We were impressed by this company’s four-season campervans, which are suitable for any landscape or weather.

In addition, they also have dedicated vans for winter camping that include thick and comfortable beddings, warm duvets, and a built-in heater which we found convenient.

Unfortunately, they only have two office locations in Vancouver and Calgary which we think limits their availability. They also require full payment upon booking.

Even so, we liked that Karma Campervans provides relatively affordable pricing as we think this makes their services more accessible. 

Just when you think their services end there, we noticed that all of their van rental packages include roadside assistance for tire changes, fuel delivery, towing, and other services.

In our opinion, this gives clients peace of mind knowing they are in good hands in an emergency.

Besides this, many of our customers have stated that Karma Campervans exceeded their expectations because their camper vans are incredibly comfortable, simple to drive, and beautifully designed.
