Founder of Compass Clinic, Charmaine Miranda, is a registered psychologist with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia. Charmaine’s proficiency lies in the areas of ADHD, FASD, Developmental Disabilities, Autism, and giftedness.
We found it quite an asset that she had worked at the BC Children’s Hospital for 10 years, as we thought this experience had honed her skills in handling children with various psychological needs.
We also appreciate that Charmaine and her team at Compass Clinic conduct comprehensive assessments to create a customized treatment plan for your child or children.
In our opinion, since every case is different, providing personalized treatment plans is crucial to addressing the unique needs of each child.
We’re just a bit iffy that they’re not able to accommodate emergency cases as they don’t provide care after their business hours. However, we liked that they provide after-hours counseling sessions.
Furthermore, Charmaine’s clients told us how thorough and informative their assessments were, as well as how friendly and helpful the clinic’s staff was.
It’s also fairly easy to book an appointment with them, as you’d only need to head to their website and fill out a simple form with your contact information and preferred date and time.
If you’re looking for one of the best child psychologists in Vancouver, we cannot recommend Charmaine Miranda enough.

We think it’s safe to say that Dr. Rae-Seebach is another option worth considering if you’re looking for one of the best child psychologists in Vancouver.
Dr. Rae-Seebach specializes in clinical child psychology, neuropsychological assessment, and expressive play-based therapy, which we thought was a great combination to deal with children’s emotional and behavioral issues.
It’s also worth mentioning that she’s able to provide a wide range of assessments, including comprehensive psychological evaluations, autism spectrum assessments, and neuropsychological assessments, among others.
Furthermore, what stood out to us was Dr. Rae-Seebach’s extensive scope of expertise. Her proficiency encompasses a broad spectrum, enabling her to address conditions.
This includes autism spectrum disorders, giftedness, attention deficit and hyperactivity disorders, intellectual disabilities, and numerous other areas.
We also highly appreciate that Dr. Rae-Seebach follows the fee recommended by the BC Psychological Association (BCPA), which is $235 per session.
But we’re sad to find out that there’s a 2.75% surcharge for credit card payments. Dr. Rae-Seebach’s clinic hours are also a bit limited, as she only sees patients on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
Despite that, we still think Dr. Rae-Seebach is one of the best child psychologists in Vancouver, as she specializes in working with children with a wide range of psychological and developmental needs.

He even founded the Spectrum Works Consulting Group, which is a professional consulting firm that supports individuals on the Autism Spectrum, which is pretty impressive.
We thought this was a testament to his commitment to his profession. Additionally, we appreciated the fact that Dr. Worling has worked with children and youth who are struggling with different challenges.
These include not only his specialized focus, but also the ability to address challenges such as depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety, ADHD, and learning disabilities.
Assessments with Dr. Worling include standardized testing materials and multiple sources, which, in our opinion, provide a comprehensive evaluation of an individual’s strengths and weaknesses.
Many of Dr. Worling’s patients we’ve talked to also highlighted how easy he is to talk to, which made their sessions more comfortable.

In our opinion, this makes her services more accessible and convenient for clients in different areas of Vancouver. Dr. Limbos’ clinic hours were also pretty open, with availability on weekdays and some evenings.
Now, Dr. Limbos deals with many issues, including learning disabilities, giftedness, depression, anxiety, and adjustment difficulties, among others. She also deals with children acting out due to divorce or separation and provides support for families.
We also appreciate how transparent Dr. Limbos is, as she explains on her website what a consultation with her looks like. This was useful to know ahead of time, in our opinion, so that clients may be prepared for what to expect during their visit.

We thought that her many affiliations showed her dedication to staying current with the latest advancements in her field.
Dr. Fry also incorporates techniques such as play therapy, biofeedback, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) into her practice, which we think allows her to provide a personalized approach that caters to the unique needs of every individual.
We also particularly liked that Dr. Fry holds educational classes for youth to teach them on how to handle their emotions properly. In our opinion, this is a crucial aspect of personal development that’s often overlooked.
Despite the lack of emergency services, we appreciate that Dr. Fry offers evening appointments and Saturday and Sunday appointments.
In fact, the majority of the clients we’ve interacted with have shared with us how much they appreciate Dr. Fry’s flexible schedule.
