This cake shop specializes in nerdy and geeky-inspired sweets, making them ideal for children’s birthday parties, holidays, and other special events with various specific themes.

What we liked best about them is that they can accommodate almost any custom design. They also have a large selection of cupcake designs based on popular video game characters, cartoon films, and holidays.

We also like that they have a large work portfolio where they show off their previous cake designs. This, in our opinion, allows them to show interested clients what they’re capable of designing.

Unfortunately, we’re not big fans that they don’t have an online ordering system as we thought this would’ve been a convenient way to place their orders.

Nonetheless, the majority of the customers we’ve spoken with have praised how accurate and detailed their cake designs are, as well as how fast their delivery services are.

We also commend how comprehensive their portfolio is, as they provide detailed photos of previous projects for prospective clients to see.

However, we’re not fans of their relatively higher rates. We also wish they could accept more orders, but given that they make their cakes and sweets from scratch, we believe this is understandable.

Joyce Ng, the owner, is a self-taught baker that’s passionate about baking and all things food-related. We were impressed by her ability to accommodate a wide range of cake designs, whether for a wedding, birthday, or a portrayal of a special place.

We also like how they display previous cake creations so that interested customers can see their previous work. We were also impressed by how detailed their cake designs were, making each cake appear realistic.

Now, we didn’t like the fact that they require a 50% deposit to confirm orders. We also wish they could accommodate more customers, but we believe this is reasonable given that Joyce makes all of the cakes herself.

Moreover, the majority of consumers with whom we have spoken are pleased with their products and services, praising Joyce for her amazing cake designs and for making the delivery process simple.

Vogue Cakes began in a small kitchen in downtown Vancouver when it first opened its doors in 2017. Since then, they have grown to have over 20 locations throughout British Columbia, including SuperValu, City Avenue-New West, and Fresh St. Markets.
