Lord’s Shoes and Apparel is a family-owned boutique on South Granville Street founded in 1930. We were impressed by Lord’s limitless selection of shoes, which include sneakers, sandals, slip-on, high heels, and many more.
We particularly liked their Brenda Zaro Summer Collection, which includes elegant sandals, padded gel and non-slip insoles. They’re comfortable for extended periods of time, so we recommend wearing it for formal or corporate events.
Another distinguishing feature is that they can fit shoe sizes ranging from 4.5 to 13 inches. We believe this allows them to serve a large number of clients with varying shoe sizes.
Aside from footwear, Lord’s also has a large selection of clothing, including dresses, pants, coats, scarves, and many other items. We really like that they have a large inventory, so customers won’t have to worry about items running out.
Moreover, we’re big fans of the fact that Lord’s can accommodate almost all top and dress sizes from XXS – XXXL, as we think this creates an equal shopping experience.

Rowan Sky is a Vancouver-based Canadian-owned boutique that opened in 2009. They sell footwear for both men and women and bags and accessories.
What we like best about this shoe store is its extensive selection of shoe styles and brands. Some of what they offer include sneakers, dress shoes, loafers, heels, flats, and many more.
Their vegan collection, which is available for both men and women, drew our attention. These shoes are made from environmentally friendly materials such as microfiber, rubber, and even plant-based materials such as bananas.
We believe this distinguishes Rowan Sky from the competition because they provide fashionable footwear while being environmentally conscious.
However, Rowan Sky also carries almost all mainstream shoe brands as well! Aside from footwear, they also offers bags, wallets, umbrellas, socks, belts, shoe laces, and many more.
Another thing we liked about this store is their shoe care section. They offer shoe care kits like leather creams, fabric dressings, and leather protectors, among others.
Unfortunately, if you plan to have items shipped, Rowan Sky charges a flat fee of CAD 15 for the service. Moreover, they don’t accept returns or refunds for sale items.

Kerrisdale Bootery began in 1949 as a children’s footwear specialist and has since expanded to provide footwear for the entire family.
We highly recommend this store to parents looking for footwear for their children. They also sell baby shoes, school shoes and hosiery, slippers, rain boots, and other items.
We were especially impressed by their extensive school shoe selection, which includes almost all major shoe brands and sizes ranging from preschool to high school.
Aside from that, Kerrisdale Bootery also sells men’s and women’s uniform dress shoes for older children.
Now, as for their men’s shoe collection, we’re not big fans of the fact that they only have a limited selection. Despite the limited options, we like that they offer style variations of men’s sneakers, sandals, hiking shoes, and slip-on.
On a different note, we were impressed by Kerrisdale Bootery’s selection of women’s shoes. This includes a wide range of women’s dress shoes, heels, running shoes, casual sneakers and many more.

“This store is amazing! They have very friendly and helpful staff. They always have something for sale. They sell children’s, women’s and men’s shoes. There was a toy corner for kids, which was really helpful. They still have another very useful thing – stairs for trying boots on! So, you can put your toddler on an upper stair, and sit on a lower one and it makes the whole process of trying shoes much more easy and comfortable. So, overall it is one of my favorite stores.”

What we like best about Nice Shoes is that they’re the only vegan shoe store in Vancouver. Some of what they offer include kids’ footwear and an impressive selection of boots, sandals, and sneakers.
We especially like their kids’ sneaker collection because it features vibrant colors. To make it even better, all their sneakers are hand-washable as well!
As for women’s footwear, Nice Shoes offer fashion boots, flats, loafers, heels, sandals, and many more. They also sell cold weather boots made from sustainable materials such as rubber, fake fur, cotton, and other plant-based materials.
We also like that they provide CSA safety shoes with non-slip materials, steel toe caps, cushioned collars, and padded tongues. In our opinion, these materials are ideal for those who work long hours, as it can offer extended comfort.
Aside from that, Nice Shoes also offers bags, belts, shoe care products, and even vegan stickers! We appreciate their dedication to promoting cruelty-free products and they support Canadian animal rights organizations as well!
